You oil light problem is due to your oil pump starting to fail. You need to replace this and it will take care of that for you. As far as the CEL goes the p1627 refers to your PCM (powertrain control module). I would suggest that you pull the plug on the PCM and make sure it is clean and plugged in tightly. Inspect the harness connectors for backed out terminals or damaged terminals. Plug it back in and reset your CEL and see if the code comes back on. If it does it sounds like your PCM is going out and will need to be replaced. Good luck and thanks for using FixYa!

Brake lights stop working when car warms up

Go under the dash and check the brake light switch when this problem occurs, there should be 12 volts in and 12 volts out with the pedal depressed, if not replace the switch or repair the wiring connector to it.

Daewoo engine oil pumps

Now the daewoo engine is a re engineered copy of the opel europe engine as used in the corsa and astra .Now in the original opel engine the oil pump drive is six sided and 1cm wide and will last the life of the engine ,but in the daewoo the drive is about 2mm wide and is just a circle with one flat ,now if the oil isnt changed on a regular the oil get full of the effects of combustion and goes thick and horrible when cold ,this puts a strain on the pumps drive but as oil warms up it becomes very thin .Now what happens if vehicle hasnt had an oil change for a few years ?' and the fresh oil hold its viscosity then 20 miles down the road the customer rings up complaining, well the pump drive rounds off resulting in no oil pressure and then the oil light comes on ,10 seconds and the big ends are shot ,Recomendation is to change the oil every 6000miles and oil filter every thrid oil change ,use the cheapest oil available i prefer a diesel detergent type oil but anything is better than no oil change, forget these so called long life oils and just change it on a regular basis.

2000 daewoo leganza

As long as you have a load on the engine, there is an oil pressure so it turn the light off. At idle and first start there is not enough oil pressure to turn off the switch. To check if you lose oil pressure, look around the oil filter, if the seal is not tight, it may take some time for oil pressure to build up, that why you have this problem.
If you don't find any oil leak, try to clean the dirt surrounding the oil pressure switch contact, if it is not improve then have oil pressure switch replaced.
Before a replacement, make sure you don't lose coolant and check oil level to see if you have too high of the oil level which is an idication of a head gasket problem. Hope this can help.

is this the oil pressure light? if it is u will need to hook up a oil pressure mechanical test gauge and verify you have sufficient oil pressure, the light may be right, if it is you are going to burn the engine up.
