Question about 1992 Ford Explorer
If you were to lose your keys to your car/motorbike/van, or if for example a vehicle you purchased only had one set of keys for some reason, then your Auto specialist Locksmith will be able to not only ensure you have an extra set created, but also importantly ensure that only the keys that are in your possession can be used, removing all others from the motor vehicle's database so they will no longer start the car.
For this, I will recommend you to take the services of Auto Locksmith San Jose. They are well-known for providing the best security services across the world. They have a team of professionally trained locksmiths who are experts at providing security services.

1992 did not have a chip in the key. Calling a locksmith will cost $65 or more depending on where you are. Call the nearest Dealer with your Vehicle Vin # and they may make one key for you cheaper which you can easily duplicate at a hardware store. Locksmith keys are hand made and not as lasting as machine cut keys.

You can go through either the dealership or a locksmith. Usually the dealership will be more expensive, and the locksmith will come to you a lot of times, but that can get spendy, too. If you can get the door open, the cheapest way to do it would be to take the actual lock out of the door and bring it in to the locksmith. I know that this way costs around 15 bucks.
