Pull the floor mat back from under the ac box and you will see the hose from the box ,through the floor out to near the engine /transmission the hose normally blocks up at the point where it goes onto the box.

I hear water swooshing from inside my car

If the swooshing sound is up in the dash area..and you have not lost any coolant.. chances are you have a plugged AC/Defroster system drain hose.

On a hot humid summer day when folks are running the AC you may have noticed puddles of water under your car and others. This is the excess moisture being pulled out of the passenger compartment. It collects and drips out of the drain under the car.

You probably don't have that puddle forming anymore.. the drain is clogged. Next time you have it in for an oil change at a decent shop.. have them locate that hose..give it a blast of air.. to unclog it.. and drain that water..

If the sound is coming from somewhere else.. best to locate it and drain it.. or clean the drain holes..doors etc..

Best of luck!

Where can I find (locate) the line or hose that drains off the condensition from the air conditioning. There is water dpipping under the dash, a lotof it. Ralph.

Look under the hood, and look at the ac lines, where they go into the car at the firewall. The drain will be directly bellow the ac lines, look for a hole, possibly on the bottom of the blower box,use air and a blow gun with a air tank to blow into the drain to clear it,watch out,it will come out like a waterfall. If this was at all helpful please rate thank you.

Where do I locate the air condition water hose drainer? The a/c hose drainer is not draining any water at all, I do not see any water draining under the car, so, whenever I used the a/c, the cold water...

Hello,

The drain hose does not actually exist. The evaporator box (also holds the heater core) is partially in the engine compartment and partially in the cab on the passenger side and excess water from running the AC drains immediately into a frame member. This is a unibody vehicle. There is no way to access the end of the drain tube to clean it out.
The drain hose runs through the firewall and into the frame There is no way to get to it from the outside of the vehicle. The only way to relly reach it, is to remove the housing.
Sounds absurd, but that's the frantic truth about this car..

Good luck.

Leak from air condition on floor not loosing Drain from a/c commi

There is a hose that comes through the firewall on the passenger side, it is the condensate line for the AC unit, it gets clogged up with bugs, dirt, wasps, etc, clear it out, it will flood the floor if it is blocked. It looks like a little bent rubber hose, it doesn't look like one, it is one. Check it out.

When my air condotioner is on there is some kind of mist blowing out of the vents and there is water pouring out onto bothe the driver's and passenger floor when taken turns.

You will need to have the heater/ac box drain hole cleaned out, this drain is located on the firewall coming from the heaterbox, you should see a small hose sticking out of firewall on the pass/side,near the bottom, blow air into it and water will pour out or use a coat hanger and slide into drain hole gentle and water will run out.

Water leak right next to inlet hoses for heater core . could there be a drain hole there

Yes, they typicaly about the same size as a pen. Make sure that it is just water comming out, and not coolant. If water, this is normall from condinsation, if coolant, you will need to change the heater core.

Air conditioning blocked unable to locate tubes

You will have to find the location of the condenser, their is drain , to drain the accumulated moisture, which is created when you have the AC at full cold! This drains the moisture outside of the car !

Air conditioner leaks water into the passenger side

the moisture dripping into your passenger compartment is condensation that is supposed to be dripping out of the a/c box via a tube that runs along the firewall to the bottom of the car(thats where the water on the ground comes from on most rigs that have been running a/c for a while). it sounds like the drain hose, or the base of the a/c box where the hose attatches has gotten clogged. if you can get to where the hose attatches to the box, remove it and blow air through the hose. before reatatching the hose, be sure there is noting blocking the niple on the bottom of the box. you should be able to get a pick or small screwdriver through the hole to clear the debris. if that fails to work you will most likely have to remove the a/c box (very difficult and lengthy process) to clean the drip tray in the bottom of the box. if it comes to that i would recomend modifying the box somehow to create a larver drain hole, and allow for a larger drain hose. if its clogged that bad after just 4 years, you will probably experience this problem again without enlarging the drain hole. hope this helps
