I don't think you can. You just have to replace it.

You have to remove the mirror (carefully) and adjust the retaing screw inside. It can be done and i personally did it several times already.

My '97 Deville driver side rear view mirror is looking partly "bronze" and partly "silver". It is now rather difficult to see a clear image in it. What could be the problem?

The mirror adjusts itself at night to get rid of glare like your rear view does, this is done by a liquid in the glass when it goes "bad" you will get the problem you have. The solution is have a dealer replace the mirror or an auto glass store can glue a replace mirror over the existing but you will lose the self adjusting at night.

No, the mirror is just a friction fit. You will need a new mirror.

Well, the car should still be under warranty if you have'nt gone over the mileage, why not take it to the dealer? This is just a suggestion so you don't have to spend any money.

Interior rearview mirror anti-glare failure

Problem experienced w/2001 OB Wagon. The 'mirror' w/auto adjusting for anti-glare is actually an LCD. When they go 'murky' it is the LCD layers delaminating. Not repairable -- remove and replace.
