If you are referring to the mirror mount on tne windshield..there is a small hex screw on tne underside of tne mount that tightens the mirror to tne mount..just find the size very small and tighten it..ask at any of the auto parts stores..the screws are pretty much the same..Good luck...
If this is the buton you are talking about (see picture below) it is for auto anti-glare. Hope this is what you're talking about and hope this helps...
The mirror adjusts itself at night to get rid of glare like your rear view does, this is done by a liquid in the glass when it goes "bad" you will get the problem you have. The solution is have a dealer replace the mirror or an auto glass store can glue a replace mirror over the existing but you will lose the self adjusting at night.
Well, the car should still be under warranty if you have'nt gone over the mileage, why not take it to the dealer? This is just a suggestion so you don't have to spend any money.
Problem experienced w/2001 OB Wagon. The 'mirror' w/auto adjusting for anti-glare is actually an LCD. When they go 'murky' it is the LCD layers delaminating. Not repairable -- remove and replace.
