My Ford EScape gets into a state where it won't start ... the radio and lights are fine and AAA checked my battery and said that isn't the problem .... they thought maybe it was the starter .. that wasn't the problem ... the auto shop said it was a computer module but they couldn;t pinpoint which one ... it runs fine for 3 to 5 days then won;t start ... is this a problem you have heard about ?

With or without the fob, you should get lights. Check the installation and the battery voltage between the engine metalwork and fuses.

Driving home from church today and my radio in my 2003 Ford Escape just shuts off, Thought I had a ghost. Got home turned it off. Tried to start it up again, nothing. All the bells and whistles go off but...

Sounds like you have a problem with your charging system.
I would have the battery load tested and have the alternator tested also for proper output.
This can be done by your mechanic or auto parts store.
If you are a AAA member they will come to you and perform those test at no charge and install a battery if needed for a fee.
You can also try to jumpstart the car.

Battery on a 2005 Mustang went dead. Had a Jump to get the car started. Drove & speedometer & odometer worked fine. However, I had Triple AAA install a new battery & now they don't work. ...

Did AAA clean the battery cable connections when they installed your battery? Did you check the fuse for the insrument panel?

It could be just bad timing or a coincidense but I am more likely to think things are connected. If your gauges worked after jump starting your car, but not after AAA changed the battery, something changed or was left disconnected.

This is a problem with the alternator. Diode rectifiers and voltage regulator replacement will give this baby a 14.2 voltage output. In this 3L V6 SUV removal of the alternator requires removing the right tire, the right axis and undercovering to reach the 6G alternator. It is a 133mm rectifier with a motorcraft, The serpentine belt is better removed from the bottom. Also keep a bucket on hand to recover the oil from the transmission.
