Are you people retarded or what? that car has a bad transmission. First check your tranny fluid level. When was the last time you changed the tranny fluid & filter? it has to be changed every 60,000 miles in that car. to check the fluid you will need to take it to a mechanic and put up on a rack. if it has been forever since you changed the fluid & filter then have it done. If it continues to still do the same thing after its been changed then its time to get rid of the car because the transmission is going out and you can buy yourself another used car for the price that they are going to charge you to re build the tranny.

When i get to a stop and then pull off that's when it jerks, right at first gear.

  • Jeff Armer Jun 20, 2015

This could be an engine sensor TPS , mass air flow etc... or a spark plug an or a plug wire ! You best bet is to take it to ASE certified repair shop , that has a good scan tool that can check engine sensor data ! so you avoid just replacing parts an spending more then you need too..

SOURCE: gear stuck on reverse. Put on drive gear still in

Have your gearbox checked. Stucked up issue,
is often caused by a worn out part, (Bearing, or
bushing, or geartrain.

SOURCE: when i put my car into drive it jerks forward

1. Extremely harsh shifts from P or N, normal shifts at WOT: EPC (Electronic Pressure Control) solenoid failed. Easy fix in pan. Fix as soon as possible or hard parts will eventually break.
2. Shift suddenly become very hard. When going from park to either reverse or drive it slams into gear. 1-2 and 2-3 shifts are also harsh. All gears seems to work. Problem may be intermittent: Check TPS for smooth electrical response. If the response is jumpy or erratic at all, replace TPS.
There are two thing that may be happening that you have described, but you can tell which one it will be since your driving the Blazer. Both are simple to repaire, but to change the EPC. Your going to have to drop the transmission pan so that's going to be a transmission shop and call around, the EPC can be replace the same time there draining the transmission fluid when servicing the transmission which is about $110.00 for fluid and filter replacement and additional $65.00-$80.00 for the EPC valve.
EPC (electronic pressure control) valve TPS (Throttle position sensor)
Thank you for using Fixya and good luck. If it's the EPC failure, replace as soon as possible. may casue the sunshell to fractured or splines to sheared off.

Causes car jerk

Car needs to warm up properly so that the automatic choke disengages completely,
After allowing the car to run at idle for a minute or two,
Give the accelerator pedal a quick push to about 1/3 throttle,
Idle speed should drop back to normal running speed and the car drive properly
