It sounds like valve clatter. If you are also noticing black smoke from the exhaust, diminished engine response, etc then it has a faulty valve. I have to be honest. The Kia you have is not known as a good car. It was made before Hyundai took over for quality control. I would seriously consider selling the car while it still runs. I am sorry for this answer, but I own a 2012 Kia Optima and have heard service writer horror stories on the Sephia. Again, I apologize for my recommendation.
The short answer is no.
The sensor looks for vibration in the engine such as a spark knock and tells the computer to slow down the spark timing.
If you have a bad valve or other engine mechanical problem, the sensor will pick that up and count it as a spark knock.
If the computer slows down the timing and the vibration continues, the code for the knock sensor will be set.

I had the same problem, started about 150K miles. It had nothing to do with the fan motor or the switch. my problem was under the fuse box. it was shorting out and i couldn't figure out how to get the wire out or wedge it in to where it would hold, so i got an external inline fuse and bypassed fuse box. when doing that it bypassed the relay as well. by hey, the fan blower works now.

The Oxygen probe is located in the exhaust manifold or front exhaust pipe it takes a 22mm wrench to loosen it and at first you need to dismantle the battery to avoid electric hazard, then the cable to the probe so it does not have any connection with the vehicle, clips and holders, after that turn the probe anticlockwise to dismantle it, and reversed operations when fitting the new one, and that should fix you problem.
The only thing that can be a problem is if the probe is rusted together to the manifold, that requires professional help.
