With a manual. Taking it apart isn't the hard part. Just start removing everything. Putting it back together. You need sequences and torque specs. Do it wrong and you will do it again.

I have a 2007 Mecury Mountaineer. I have an engine code (P-2006) Can you please tell what this code mean. Thank you.

P2006 = Intake manifold runner control stuck closed, Bank 1.
There is a set of 'choke' valves built into the intake manifold on the vehicle.
They are sticking closed, affecting the fuel to air mixture getting to the engine. The switches/solenoids may have failed so the will need to be tested or replaced.

2002 mountaineer v6 car will start n try to idle then die scanner said bad oil sensor changed that n no change checked fuel pressure it fine checked volts to coil pack n it's fine ?? Frustrated

i would check the throttle position sensor first, check for vacuum leaks, egr valve, i read a few things were people talking about a o ring under the separator. which is under the intake manifold. i would check the easy ones first before pulling your intake manifold off

When I tune up my 04 Nissan Quest do I need a Intake Manifold Gasket?

If you have to remove the top half or plenum of the intake manifold, it is always recommended to replace the gaskets. I have squeaked by without doing it if the gaskets are in good condition.

2003 Mercury Mountaineer with 4.6L is loosing coolant, no steam coming out of tail pipe or fluid leaking on the ground. The dealer thinks it intake manifold or head gasket. The hot oil light has come on...

dont know of any head gasket concerns, usually when the intake manifold leaks it either split and pours out or the heater hose fittings crack and leak. Check the hose connections at the intake and make sure none of the hose clamps have cracked and are leaking
