06 nissan altima won't start.

My 06 nissan altima will not start. i didn't have any previous problems with the car not starting. the interior lights were flicking and my car alarm has a faint sound to it. what may the problem be.

first check all fuses make sure they are good, check the ignition wire at the key see if you have power when the key turn on,

Buy yourself a volmeter ($10 at walmart) and chevk the voltage if the battery. If the battery was on its way out then yes, cold weather will affect it. Do your headlights go on?. Do the interior lights go on...are the lights dim...you can get a battery at cistco, walmart, or any auto parts store. Good luck

2000 Nissan Altima will not start, battery is good tested at 12 volts. key in switch reminder is the only thing you can hear nothing else is powered?


None of the main fuses have power ? Do the headlights and interior lights work ?
Do you have power from the battery cable to the box ?
Could it be a problem with the key switch ?

Car won't start


You should be able to jump start the engine as long as you are very careful hooking up the cables.
You might want to check battery voltage with a meter first.

i assume interior lights go out. I would check that the boot light goes out also. could remove the bulb and see if it fixes it.

I turn the key in my 95 Nissan Ultima and the engine won't start.


Mine did this. We replaced the battery but still nothing. I followed the cable that goes from the battery to the starter and shook it around a bit. It started up, but I also have an unrelated stalling problem.
