On my 2008 super duty why would the back axle want to lock up when I turn left

Low oil level in the axle, bad or contaminated oil in the axle, or a bad bearing in the axle. It is also possible that you have a brake issue on one side (easy to spot if you inspect the rear brakes).

How do I change the rear differential oil in my 2004 XC90 Volvo?

I have confirmed the fill plug is located on the Differential cover (rear facing) Closer to the left about half way up. Although Summit after market Differential covers has a drain plug the OEM cover does not. You will need to suction the old fluid out then add the new fluid. From what I can see the fill plug is 13mm. Capacity is .7L. Used Volvo Rear Axle Fluid (API GL-5 Low friction part #1161329). Also I read that it requires one aluminum crush washer (same size as engine oil drain plug). I don't know about reusing the origional.

Where do I install the rear-end oil on a Dodge Ram 1500

I supose you are talking about the rear axle? if so, unscrew the bolts of the rear axle's cover and let the oil flow out into a container. once it's empty, clean the cover and the surface on the axle where the cover goes on to, apply a seal onto the cover and put the cover back on and screw al of the bolts back into place and tighten them. you will find a rubber plug in the cover, take it out and fill the rear axle untill the liquid comes out of the plughole. Put the rubber plug in and you're done! Watch out if you got al limited slip differential, you will need to put an additive into the oil so you won't burn the clutches of you limited slip differential.

Rear direrintial

The rear diff. turns the rear wheels. It is located in the middle of the rear axle. It won't last long if you ignore it. May just need dearing's but if it is driven the cog wheels will grind to dust or drop off this can cause the rear axle to seize up and can be a danger because the back wheels will lock up. If you are going to fix it yourself let me know and I will be able to guide you through the process

Where to put the rear axle oil in and what kind of oil?

the rear axle takes 85-140 gear oil if you have limited slip you have to also add a friction modifier to it. you have to fill it from the level check plug about halfway up either on the differential cover or on the front of the third member depending on the axle that you have
