It's not the spark plug spacers for you probably did not connect the spark plug wires in the proper order when you disconnected it. the engine doesnt run or backfires when you start the engine. next time, mark the wires and location before discnnecting. good luck

99 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo 4.8l V8 Camshaft Position Sensor Replacement. How can I tell if mine had a spacer on the mounting bolt.

I looked at info for 4.7L engine. I would have checked the cam sensor wiring circuits, before replacing anything. Three wire connector, ref voltage--ground--signal.
Some of these vehicles, the computer needs to see both the cam and crank sensor signals or it won't start.
Engine cranking do you have spark at the plugs--proper fuel pressure--fuel injector pulse?
I don't think I have ever seen a spacer on the sensor mounting bolt, but, I haven't seen everything.

Need to know why won't get no spark...changed ignition module, ignition coil, cap and rotor still not firing. ....any ideas

What make vehicle ? year an model too ! Before you replaced those parts did you check for battery supply voltage an check the ground for those components ? You need to get a wiring diagram an see what get's voltage an what is ground ! An see what all is involved , crankshaft position sensor , ECM / PCM -engine computer etc...! Then you need a DVOM - digital volt ohm meter to test ! Your looking for a quick fix an doesn't work like that !

Why would my teuck turnover but will not start?

Many, many, many reasons.
! do you have gas in the tank?
2 Is there spark on the plugs? (gasoline engine)
3 Is the cam belt still OK?
4 Is the crank angle sensor OK? Can be checked with an Ohm meter.
5 Is the cam angle sensor OK? Can be checked as above
6 If it is an older truck, is the ignition coil OK? You might have an old style distributor - is the rotor OK? Are the points burnt (wow, now I'm really showing my age!).
7 Some vehicles have a fuse that protects the ignition system - check the fuses.
It would be better if you gave more details.
There are three things necessary for an engine to run -
1 Gas.
2 Spark (or in the case of a diesel, injection).
3 Compression.
If these three things are OK and timed right, the engine will run.

CRANKSHAFT POSITION SENSOR - 2.5L

REMOVAL
  1. Remove speed control servo from driver's side strut tower.
  2. Remove crankshaft position sensor retaining bolt Crankshaft Position Sensor
  3. Pull crankshaft position sensor straight up out of the transaxle housing.
  4. (Disconnect crankshaft position sensor electrical connector from the wiring harness connector.
INSTALLATION - ADJUSTABLE All vehicles will be equipped with an adjustable crankshaft position sensor. This can be identified by an elongated mounting hole in the sensor.
NOTE: If the removed sensor is to be reinstalled, clean off the old spacer on the sensor face. A NEW SPACER must be attached to the sensor face before installation. If the sensor is being replaced, confirm that the paper spacer is attached to the face of the new sensor Crankshaft Position Sensor and Spacer
  1. Install sensor in transaxle and push sensor down until contact is made with the drive plate. While holding the sensor in this position, install and tighten the retaining bolt to 12 N·m (105 in. lbs.) torque.
  2. Connect crankshaft position sensor electrical connector to the wiring harness connector.
  3. Attach connector to heater tube bracket.
  4. Install speed control servo. Tighten nuts to 9 N·m (80 in. lbs.) torque.

My sidekick will just die or barely run it died

last year, OBD1 car (dumbb ECU)
no scan tools for it
if you run on the road with that hack , and wreck
expect a nice fire. fuel fire.
if you used a voltmeter and say 12vdc there, all hotwiring stuff
need not be done. (
it stalled (misfire)
and then would not what? start but cranks ok?
4wd?
3sp ,4sp auto or 5speed stick
16v engine or 8v, both are G16s but EFI radially different.
16v is MPI with 4 injectors, 8v is 1 injector TBI
try a new
cap,.rotor spark wires and spark plugs yet?
cant burn fuel with bad spark
i guess the cam bent did not slip as it run ok later, but is 60,000 mile belt. and will slip ignored.

next time it stalls
check headlamps they work, and all electric
then see if CEL glows key on, i must or ECU lost power
it has 3 fuse that can rust, IG coil, FI, and DOME.
the CEL must glow, is first checks.

My 98 Century was running fine without any known problems. I decided to have the spark plugs, Air and Fuel filter replaced. Had originally intended to also replace spark plug wires, but had to leave that...

See the attached video for instructions on how to test the wires and coils. If that isn't the problem then it is likely the ignition module, or the crank or cam position sensor.

I have a 1995 intrepid it doesn´t turns on and we change change the computer what could it be?

If the starter is good and you have fuel at the injector and spark at the plugs at the proper time it should start.

The computer is only there to make everything run good and could be bad but the engine would still run.... badly but still run.

3 things to look for

1--- fuel

2--- spark to the plug

3--- make sure timming is ok.

The car is running on 2 cylinder,

If you have no spark on the coil pack for these cylinders, try scanning the car to see if you get codes for a camshaft positioning sensor or crankshaft positioning sensor.
