Multiple random misfiring in 2001 Toyota camry, 4 cyl.

The next step would be to add high test Sunoco or Mobil gas with a can of additive that eliminates moisture ( dry gas ). Doews this have fuel injectors? If so they may need changing, the way to check them is to remove them one at a time to see how they are spraying but each one needs to be still hooked up while doing this

Going to replace a head gasket on a 1991 toyota pickup how hard is it going to be

This is a fairly easy engine to replace the head gasket on, but it's very very important to make sure the surfaces are both clean and flat! 2 things you really need to invest in are a decent torque wrench (sears/crafstman has a good one for a decent price) and a haynes manual. There's a very informative writeup in the haynes.
It depends which engine the truck has. If it is the 4cyl. it is a several hour job, if it is a 6 cyl. it is twice as long, major work. No way to describe it online.
Replacing the head gasket on any vehicle is a long and complicated process.

I have a 1994 toyota pickup there is a gunk substance in the radiator and it appears the oil cap is contaminated the water pump is circulating but the gunk is in the cooling system could this be a head...

The best way to test a head gasket at no cost is to run the motor hot, then one by one remove the spark plugs and quickly put a mirror over the spark plug hole for approx 3/5 seconds. then quickly turn the mirror around, if you find the mirror is steamed up you not only know the head gasket is blown but you also know on which cylinder.

It is important to test each cylinder one at a time so that the steam doesnt escape the other cylinders through the open spark plug holes whilst you are testing the first few.

I hope this gives you some direction of where to start.

I need to change the head gasket on my 4 cyclinder tacoma it is getting radom miss fires

we usually replace head gaskets when there is an overeating problem or leak problem, if you saw coolant in the spark plugs or if the misfire come with a thick white smoke from the tail pipe, then this is reason enough to do the head gasket job.

for random misfire we got spark plug wires high resistance,
weak coil,
bad fuel,
weak fuel pump.
bad injectors.

Yes, 86K is unexpectedly soon for a valve job. 200K is more likely. You've replaced the usual suspects, so its time to look further. Valve (or head gasket) problems can be identified with a dry and wet compression test AND a leakdown test. You really don't want to pay for a valve job (i.e both heads, gaskets and timing belt while you're there...) if its not needed. Other things to look for are vacuum leaks and exhaust leaks (odd effects can with these). Watch the coolant level: if its going down, its either leaking or burning == head gasket on the way out. Burnign coolant also creates while smoke. If the gas economy is way off, the catalytic converter could be damaged (unburned gas in the exhaust wrecks the cat).

My 1998 Dodge Stratus valve cover went out and there was oil everywhere. I replaced the valve cover gasket, new plugs and wires, now it will not start like it is not getting gas, it is not a relay as I...

If it was running fine, till you replace the valve cover gasket, then fuel pump and filter is not the trouble, check make sure all elec. wires are connected, ground wires also.

1999 safari van 4.3 6 cyl. has a service code PO

P0301 is a DTC code that indicates a misfire to cylinder one. It could be a bad spark plug, spark plug wire, rotor and cap, a dirty fuel injector, or the worst a bad head gasket. Cylinder 1 is the first cylinder on the drivers side, towards the front. Start with the simple and check the spark plug wire and add fuel injector cleaner to the gas tank. Good luck and hope this helps you get you van running 100% soon. If that did not help, then your going to have to do a tune up by replacing the spark plugs, wires and rotor and cap. You can get all the parts you need at Auto Zone and they can give you the step by step to get the job done with common tools in under 2 hours of your time. Keep me posted, be glad to know you got your van running 100% again soon.

Temprature guage not working 1985 toyota 4 cylinder camper just had a new head gasket replaced

Coolant temperature sensor may not have been replaced, or the sensor itself and/or some of the wiring may have been damaged when the repair job was done.
