Trying to locate where the beeping comes from.

Trying to find out where the speaker is located that beeps when the door is open. In the Middle East, this also beeps at 120kph/75mph due to government regulations... I want to disconnect it!
Possible other solutions?

wilson2b - Call (24810600 is their number) or visit the service centre in Shuwaikh. They will basically pad the speaker with cotton wool so that it's very quiet.
They did this free of charge for me. You can disconnect it, but this means no sound when you leave the lights on/ brake on/ indicators etc. they won't agree to do this though - you'd have to dismantle the dashboard yourself.
I've been driving mine for a few months like this and it's okay.
I'm still tempted to get it disconnected though as I drive almost exclusively on the 30/40 and almost always over 120!

Annoiying beep for Kuwait standards..

Please , could you give more details on how to locate the speaker?
Pics, diagram or something?

It's so loud it's hard to tell where exactly it's coming from.
I didn't want to get to deep into it. <MAybe someone followed the wires to the fuse box or something.

Thanks

Man, you are a life saver... Ya, that annoying beep.. I never drive under 120K. Expect for checkpoints.

So that was for a Mazda 6 right? Making it quieter would be great. I use speaker phone w/ Iphone setup and it interferes with pickup of course.
I will call them today.. Thanks a million..

If this works.. I woe ya a Virgin MArgarita..! ;-)

    Andy,

By the way, did you see where the speaker is? Can I pad the speaker myself without messing with the dash?
    They are kind of far.
I tried to call, but they weren't in at the time..
    Will try again later.

    Thanks a million rubars..

I have a 95 jeep grand cherokee, when i put the key in and start my vehicle the key in ignition signal will not stop beeping. Please help me stop the constant beep.

Seems like the vehicle is sensing that one of the doors is remaining open(the door switch may be bad and stuck open. You can also track down and disconnect that buzzer, which is located under the dash.

1987 Chrysler Lebaron - 130,000 miles. The beeping sound, sounds like the 'warning' beeping you hear when your door is ajar, or when you forget to take your keys out of the ignition, once the car is...

Maybe one of the door switches, are worn or broken, worn ones can sometimes be adjusted to make the stick out. Push the door switches in one at a time with just that door open, (it should be on the door jam), if it stops, you've found the problem switch. Since the driver's door get much more use than any of the others, I'd start there.

Lights in cabin do not dime after the car is locked, after locking the car I can hear three short beeps,

Do you have a remote starter in this vehicle, if so disconnect it and see what happens, if all is well, replace the module, if not the central timer module on this vehicle is located behind drivers kick pad, unplug it and retry, you would have lock the doors manually, this module controls the locks, possible malfunction in it,also by chance does your key in switch sense work fine, when you remove your keys from the igntion tumbler, door open the chimes quits, if it does not , there is a micro switch in there that might be sticking, if there is no chime, still in the ctm, now the 3 beeps, where are they coming from, inside or outside, you didnt say, open your door and close the latch with a scewdriver to simulate door closed, and listen for the beeps, I'm currious about this. GOOD LUCK, RDJRP

How to stop the key alarm that beeps constantly when the driver's door is open and keys in the ignition? I wish to diable.

This alarm was placed in the vehicle for the purpose of not leaving your keys in the ignition while getting out and locking the door.
If in fact you wish to disable this safety function (and possibly one day lock your keys in the vehicle) Look under the dash, drivers side, while the chime is activated. You should be able to locate where the beeping sound is coming from and unplug the chime.

The oem car alarm goes off without warning, how do i recalibrate it? Press reset

to find faulty component, under hood locate alarm hood switch and push it repeatedly till you hear audible beep/s then go round each door in turn and when opening and closing should hear beep and same with hood switch and boot, when finished testing leave for min approx then will hear another beep to show it has exited the alarm test.
