have throttle body checked also the MDK throttle motor,
make sure that the dealer has followed service bulletin 12 07 99 for procedure to replace the MDK throttle motor
also have them check for codes, here are some codes,
it could be an expensive job, have them check everything,it is most likely the throttle motor,,throttle body is 600 if they switch it,dont let them do it without checking throttle motor,
codes,
MS41, MS42 and MS43 engine DME bmw codes...

Mercedes clk55 engine suction fan stays on as soon as the key is turned on.The black and white wire on the fan has continous positive, when I remove relay P in the front fuse box (terminal 15) the fan

The fan control module is defective.....would scan codes in engine control module to insure this diagnosis is accurate. I've replaced quite a few on Mercedes Benz models. The reason for the scan of the engine control module is to insure the DME (engine control module is not commanding "ON" the engine cooling fan. The factory scan tool can view these commands. If the DME is not commanding the suction fan to operate...the fan module is indeed defective.

I have a 1999 BMW 323I five speed, but when ever I shift to 3rd gear the asc light comes on and the car will not pick up speed

ASC light is part of the ABS system. ASC means slip control system. When this light comes on because it is integrated with the DME or for a better term ECM (control module) It commands trottle reduction. The ASC uses the wheel speed sensor your only fix is get the ABS or (brake inspection) look at The computure engine management thinks you are slipping.

2006 bmw 750Li with error code drive moderately abs braking system error. took it to bmw they said it was a sensor, I paid $500 same error code after that five times finally they told me it was a module...

BMW in the service is used for diagnosis of GT-1 and one can write what's wrong, what the wheel is, you can even raised hands and wheel rotate. GT-1 to look at a signal about how to spin. Signal from the ABS sensor. When the sensor signal is wrong. If you are not sure that the diagnosis should be done and they would know what's wrong now. The one who made the diagnosis was a mistake to try to GT-1/ service function / pr?fplan / ABS sensoren control when move it. Have replaced ABS module on bmw 525 E39 and ABS now ok, but the ASC lamp will not go off on the dash and fault code 23 (incorrect coding) will not clear from system? Everyone told us the ABS ecu does not...

ABS/ASC module is faulty
CLASSIC ABS FAILURE SYMPTOMS:
- Most of the time, the problem is the ABS module or one of the 4 wheel speed sensors (& sometimes the brake pressure sensor)
- In my 2002 BMW E39 DSC, three orange (warning) cluster display lights lit, ABS, Brake, & DSC
- The 3 warning lights reset when the ignition is turned off, only to repeatedly reappear within minutes of normal driving
- The fault is often intermittent leading you to falsely believe you've resolved the problem (proper diagnosis is important)
- Sometimes the fault only appears when the engine is hot; other times only at speeds over 40 mph
- Carsoft may erroneously show a rear speed sensor failure; but just replacing the speed sensor may make no difference.
- All the work is in correct diagnosis of the problem; parts replacement is trivial (from 1 to six bolts in a few minutes)
- Hence, this BMW E39 ABS 3-warning light DIY will concentrate on understanding and diagnosis of the problem

I need to remove the abs light in my 1992 bmw 520i. ABS works fine, however in order to pass inspection, the light will not go out. I am tired of spending money and getting no where to fix the problem....

for the m.ot the light has to be on then go out. i cant see why this cant be fixed, it must not be working. what i have seen to blag a mot is, a wire from the oil pressure switch to the abs light, when off on and running out, this works but leaves the car no abs, you sure not a sensor or the brain died

Bmw 520i 1999 abs/asc lights on diagnostic

Check to see if your brake pads and rotors are in good condition. Or if you have replaced the pads yourself and have not reset the wheel sensors this would cause the ABS Antilock Brake System light and the ASC Automatic Stability Control light to stay on as the ASC uses the ABS brakes with computer assistance to control the car

BMW abs light and speedometer not working

I would replace the Vehicle Speed Sensor (VSS) at the transmission 1st, also who advised the PCM (computer) was bad? a Jag dealer? I think they are guessing on that, computers rarely fail, maybe 2% of the time if that.
