One of two problems. Window motor or window regulator. Began by removing the door panel. Peel down the vapor barrier. This will expose the motor, you will see three star screws, remove these and then remove the motor. Remove the plate and inspect the plastic plugs in the motor, if defective replace with plugs or ball bearings, pack with wheel bearing grease. If the motor is ok. Then remove the window regulator. Using a punch punchout the rivits using a 1/4 inch drill drill out the aluminum holding in the regulator and the glass. Replacw with 1/4 inch bolts and nuts.

SOURCE: rear window on Toyota 4Runner won't operate up or down

Many electric motors use a nylon gear strip for movement. As the nylon wears it slips and requires help to begin movement. Replacement of the actuator as a unit is probably going to be needed

SOURCE: renault scenic drivers electric window motor runs

The track guide that operates the window from the motor is damaged or has jumped track. Remove the inner door panel and operate the window and see which has happened. If it has jumped track check for missing or damaged guide retainers if it is damaged or broken replace it. Normally runs about $15 to $20 for the part. Now if the drive guide is not damaged and it is still not working the gear that drives it is damaged and you will need to replace the motor as this is pressed on and not user replaceable. Good Luck

Ford Ka electric windows passenger works drivers doesn't. I replaced the switch and still nothing. If I diconnect the drivers switch the passenger window stop s working so there's some connect

The relay operates all the windows. The drivers door switch is the master and has to be connected for the rest to work. It sounds like you have a bad motor or a bad connection on the motor in the drivers door.

None of my electric windows work, they are all stuck open and will not go up

Are you sure the window lock switch is in the "operating" position. The drivers window problem is usually a broken wire or a worn out window motor but the other windows can be made non-operational if the window lock switch is in the wrong position...if it is set correctly it may be the Body control module (in the dash behind the radio).

My power windows stopped working

The power window system operates electric motors, mounted in the doors, which lower and raise the windows. The system consist of the conrol switches, the motors, regulators, glas mechanism and associated wirring.
Perform checks
1. Check fuses for proper operations, blown fuse can cause windows to stop operating.
2.Check with voltage meter your power windo switches.
3.Each motor is equiped with an internal circuit breaker, this prevents one stuck window from disabling the whole system.
4.The power windows will only operate when ignition key is ON. In addition, manu models have a window lock out switch at the master control switch which, when activated, disables the switches at the passenger's windows. Always check these items before troubleshooting a window problem
5. These procedures are general in nature, so if you can;t find the problem using them, take vehicle to the dealer service department or other properly equipped repair facility.
6. If windows wont operate always check the fuses and circuit breaker first.

Driver window won't go up

there are a few things that can cause this to happen. Since you do not say if you have electric, or manual windows, it makes it a little harder to diag. If you have manual windows, you could have a gear that is stripped (normally you can tell because the handle rotates freely with little resistance) or your window jumped off the track from a large bump or ware. For electric windows, there are a lot more problems that can acure. To start, the window switch could be bad/shorted out; window regulator needs replaced; the electric motor itself could be bad; a gear is stripped; or a number of other things. Since there are so many componants to the operation of a window, it is hard to know what is actually wrong with such a vegue discription.
