It's mounted to the throttle body. And I believe you have to pull the throttle to get access to it.

SOURCE: I have a 1999 Dodge

Hi, Your blower speed is controled by the selection switch on the a/c control head from there it is sent to the BLOWER RESISTOR. This is where your problem is, below is a picture of location, unplug pigtail connector and remove two screws, slide resistor out, replace with new part and reverse procedure.
Most auto parts stores carry this item in stock order by year make and model and by location (Front Blower Resistor, you vehicle has two, one front and one rear)

2000 dodge ram TCS been replaced still get code p0505

Code 505 is for a problem with the idle air control valve.
It could be the valve, or a dirty throttle body, or a problem in the harness.
If you replaced the IAC and the throttle body is clean, and the code remains, you probably need to open the harness and check the wires.

clean or replace idle air control valve located on the throttle body, this is the valve that adjusts the ammount of air allowed into the engine to adjust fuel mixture. If you change it clean the throttle plate of all the carbon build up

It seems that my 98 Dodge Ram 1500 will not run when I start it cold unless I give it a bit of gas. It seems that the choke is not engaging.

replace the I.A.C --idle air control valve. located on the throttle body. Sometimes you can clean them or even tap on it with a hammer and they will work again, but replacement is recommended. very easy. hope this helps--i've changed quite a few.
