Check the fuel pressure and if low change the fuel filter.
It sounds like a serious internal problem. Most likely a broken piston rod or spun main bearing. The car should be towed to a repair shop for professional diagnosis. A cheaper option would be to have a mechanic friend come by and take a look. Either way I would advise against driving the car or even running the engine except for diagnosis purposes.
Hi Steve. thanks for the response. I am a mechanic and maybe I never fully explained myself. the engine used to run but never had any power, something to do with the pump not powering the turbo. I sent it for repairs and fitted it back. when you crank the motor , she'll start but cut out. there is a large some of white/greyish smoke that appears. is it maybe my pump timing?
do I need to retard or advance it?
