If this is the case, spraying the door latch with WD-40 really well should cure the problem. Spray the latch, open and close the door a few times, and spray again.

The switch is part of the door latch on the F150, and this is the input sent to the warning system.

Check the accessories fuse. Keep in mind that there are two fuse panels one inside the car and one under the hood.
