My car is making a terrible noise , seems to come from the ac. even thought the ac is working great and makes the sound even if the ac isn't on. What is causing this and will it hurt to keep drive my car like it is?

There is an idle pulley for the belts which can possibly make noise from the belt area. You should have it checked as soon as possible. If idler or belts come off they could cause other damage or cause motor to over heat possibly ruining the engine. I recommend you get it looked @ by your mechanic.

My 01 cougar makes a noise like a pump is going out or is clogged could someone told me it sounds like the ac, but it does it even when the ac is off your thoughts

there are several items running that can produce a noise
the water pump bearing will be a grumble or a tinny rattle , the idler pulleys will be a rattle, the ac pulley is on a bearing separate to the ac operation and is running all the time and the problem noise could be from that bearing
the alternator bearing will make a medium pitch rumble and if you have a viscous ( clutch hub) fan hub the bearings in it will produce a noise
an accredited mechanical shop will have a stethoscope and a good mechanic will be able to determine exactly where the noise is coming from

Terrible noice when I turn the steering wheel on my 2001 BMW 325i

Make sure you check your power steering fluid... if it's even low, it will make a terrible noise...run it on empty too long and your can ruin your power steering pump.

Terrible Front End noise

Good Day,
It would make sense that it is suspension related as it does not make noise at idle but going down the road it does. I would lean towards it being a bad wheel bearing. Does it sound like it's coming from one side or the other? Also how many miles on the car? Does it get louder when the wheels are turning?

You can check the bearing easily by jacking up that wheel and moving it side to side and up down checking for play, a little bit of play is normal.

Hope this helps and Good Luck
