Why is this 2007 Dodge Caliber 2.0 still not charging after changing the Alternator and the battery? The alternator and the battery both check out fine!!!

There are fusible links that will melt,like a fuse,find all of them and replace the bad ones,its on the secondary wire to the positive side of the battery

The signal to the alternator is controlled by the ECM/PCM, so the best thing to do is check all connections to the alternator and battery to make certain that they are clean and tight and have the vehicle scanned for fault codes.
There is one larger red w/grey wire to the alternator, that should have power from the battery, if it does not, then the fusible link to that wire has blown. If there is power to that wire, then the problem may either be in the alternator itself or the PCM.
If that is the case, you will need to hook up a scanner to it, to see what the PCM is saying that the charging system voltage is.

Dont listen to the fusible link stuff I just fixed this after months of hell and many not so great mechanics, even at dodge. Now all you have to do is but a volt meter. Start your car go under and test you alternator it should be sending 14.1 volts. Now go check your battery mine was getting around 11 volts. All I did was replace the positive wire and ran the 14.1 volts straight to the battery and fixed the whole issue. The alternator runs to the starter then to the battery, there seemed to me very light corrosion on the wires connecting to the starter which is why I believe there was a loss of power. When I ran a straight wire it fixed the problem. So much money wasted taking it to "professionals" when it really was a 10$ wire.
