1977 Thunderbird window motor located - Cars & Trucks

I've learned that after popping off the bottom of the interior door panel the motor is there at the bottom, behind a panel, about 3/4 of the way towards the car. You will see, on the bottom edge of the door, three impressions into the metal in a triangular fashion. To get the motor out, you have to drill though the door in those 3 places. I was able to get a DMM on the 2 pin connector for the motor. It measured 7.8V (seems like it s/b 12V, but at least I know voltage is getting to the motor - and the switch works!). Some motors gears have 7 teeth, some 9, so you have to remove the motor to know which one you have. See below:

The following motors are listed as fitting the Thunderbird based upon the vehicle information provided. You will need to determine the teeth of the window motor, as there are multiple options:

Window Lift Motor - A1 CARDONE [Reman.]
    Front Left
    w/7 Tooth Gear
    Supplied w/o Gear;Supplied w/o Regulator 42-81
    Front Right
    w/7 Tooth Gear
    Supplied w/o Gear;Supplied w/o Regulator 42-82
    Rear Left
    w/7 Tooth Gear
    Supplied w/o Gear;Supplied w/o Regulator 42-81
    Rear Right
    w/7 Tooth Gear
    Supplied w/o Gear;Supplied w/o Regulator 42-82
    Front Left
    w/9 Tooth Gear
Part numbers may be reversed on some models. Physically check unit off vehicle.
    Supplied w/Gear;Supplied w/o Regulator 42-32
    Front Right
    w/9 Tooth Gear
Part numbers may be reversed on some models. Physically check unit off vehicle.
    Supplied w/Gear;Supplied w/o Regulator 42-31
    Rear Left
    w/9 Tooth Gear
Part numbers may be reversed on some models. Physically check unit off vehicle.
    Supplied w/Gear;Supplied w/o Regulator 42-31
    Rear Right
    w/9 Tooth Gear

SOURCE: where is the blower motor relay located on a 1977

On a 1977 F-250 there is no such thing as a blower motor relay. There are basically 3 things in that system the switch in dash, the blower motor and the blower motor resistor. It seems to me the blower motor is fairly easy to get to in those years. Do you have a test light? Check to see if you have power to the motor I think it's an orange wire. No test, light take a length of insulated wire and hook one to the terminal, on the blower motor, where the orange wire would go now, touch the other end to + battery terminal, the blower motor should run. If not the motor is junk or you have a bad ground on the motor. It could very well be the blower motor resistor too, that is usually fairly close to blower motor, it's bolted to the duct work with two small bolts. They tend to get hot and the wire terminals get rusty and the connection fails, you may want to check the resistor first. Good luck.

Where is the blower motor resistor located on 1977 buick Electra limited.

Generally they are located inside the air duct so that the cooling air from the blower keeps the resistors cool. Some vehicles have a cover over them that enables you to remove them without removing anything else, while some vehicles require the whole blower and duct to be removed to get access. If there is not a small cover located somewhere under the dash in the ducting, then most likely your one requires the whole thing to be removed.

2002 thunderbird window won't go up or down replace swith still wont work fuse are ok does the switch get power

The master switch connector does have circuits that have power on them. The Master switch is not directly connected to the window motors. The switch sends a signal to the Front Electronic Module and the module controls operation of the motor on the driver side. The passenger door window motor is controlled by a different module

Where is the water pump located on my 95 ford thunderbird

The water pump is located on the front of the motor. Other cars would have a fan hanging off of it. If you really want to know check out a Hanes manual. They have them at the library ,the book store, Amazon or the auto parts store.

Location of fan relay or fuse for motor

I have a 94 Thunderbird SC and the relay is located on the passenger side of the engine compartment behind the headlight assembly and to the left of the radiator. You should see a rectangular shaped relay tucked in there.

Blower motor resistor

The blower motor resistor is located near the blower motor. It is held in place by 2 screws, and has a wire clip connected to it. Very simple fix.

I hope this helps you, and I wish you luck on your repair.

2002 Ford Thunderbird

Hi!

You will need to open the door panel by looking for screws near the corners of the door and also on the inside handle, then look for any disconnections in motor that is used for the power windows operation. Also, see if the wire coming to the motor is fine and nothing is blocking the window to open.

Do rate the solution.
Thanks
