Remove battery and battery support you'll be able to undo starter bolt's trough there and slip starter out.

SOURCE: Where is the oil pressure sensor located on a 2003

There are 2 small passages with square headed type socket screws . Look on drivers side of block behind where the breather hose goes to the airbox. You'll need to remove the airbox. They are slightly smaller than a 1/4" drive extension.

It is very hard to try to reach the sensor from under the car. you can removed the battery, air box, also moved the fuse box aside just a bit to get more room to work (not necessary though). After removing/moving those parts you'll have plenty of room to work with. Simply disconnect the electric connection and remove the sensor with a socket. The part was $11.99 at Kragen with a lifetime warranty! (not just a dealer only item :]) The socket isn't a special socket its just a 27mm ($9.99) deepwell. I hope this helps someone, overall the job wasn't hard so no need to pay anyone to do it for you!

If your arms are long enough, you can access it top passenger side and reach way down and you won't have to remove anything! Its good to put her up on ramps to get and idea where it is, then take her off and do the repair. Forgot to mention unlocking the electrical connection by pushing the slide lock to the side.

Good luck and hope this help and keep me posted.

2001 pt cruiser over heating wired fan direct fan works but car still over heats replaced thermostat temp. sensor fuses etc...

Sounds like the engine head gasket needs to be replaced. The gasket has deteriated from the engine cylinder and coolant passage and overheating the coolant. Sometimes you will see coolant mixed with engine oil, or milky solution on the oil dipstick

Oil sending unit replaced still have problem

unfortunatly the dealer will not allways be upfront and completely honest with you about things like this.truth is the high milage is the reason the light comes on cause its got a lot of wear on the oil pump and an increase of gaps in all the places that the oil goes to.
if you would like that light to turn off all you will need to do is change your oil over to a high milage oil or even maybe a thicker weight oil or a straight weight a valvoline racing 40 or 50 weight.

hope this helps
thank you

Car died at the stoplight. Oil light came on.

Probably blowed it. Sorry to say. You can continue to crank it but it probably already seized a bearing. Run a pressure check on the oil.

Oil light keeps coming on and beeps

This is the pressure light, nothing to do with the oil needing to be being changed, you have low oil pressure being indicated, this will destroy the engine if the light is really indicating low oil pressure, have the oil pressure tested with a mechanical test guage at a shop, if the oil pressure is ok then replace the oil pressure light sending unit.
