2004 ford escape overheating, fans working, antifreeze empty. But no puddles under car. Filled with antifreeze.I let it run for about 10 minutes, then tried to drive it, it immediately begin to overheat.

Very quick overheating can be a sign of a blown head gasket. Do a compression test to see if this is the cause. You can hire the gauge.

Overheating

OVERHEATING CAN BE CAUSE BY MANY THINGS LIKE FAULTY THERMOSTAT AND FAULTY RADIATOR PRESSURE CAP,TOO MUCH WATER IN COOLANT SYSTEM NEED 50 / 50 WATER AND ANTIFREEZE.LOOK FOR WATER PUMP WEEP HOLE LEAK, IF COOLANT LEAKING OUT WEEP HOLE WATER PUMP BAD NEED REPLACING.CHECK FOR LOW COOLANT LEVEL, YOUR RADIATOR OVERFLOW JUG SHOULD HAVE COOLANT AT THE FULL COLD MARK IF NOT KEEP ADDING COOLANT INTO COOLANT OVERFLOW JUG UNTIL COOLANT STOP DROPPING AND FULL COLD MARK, IF OVERFLOW COOLANT JUG WAS EMPTY RADIATOR IS LOW ON COOLANT.WHICH CAUSE AIR IN COOLANT SYSTEM KEEPING THE ENGINE COOLANT TEMPERATURE SENSOR FROM BEING SUBMERGE IN HOT COOLANT WHICH TURN ON THE COOLANT FANS.WHEN ENGINE COOLANT TEMPERATURE GET CERTAIN SET TEMPERATURE LIKE 190 DEGREES THE PCM AND COOLANT SENSOR WILL TURN ON COOLANT FANS, IF VECHICLE OVERHEATING COOLANT FANS NOT WORKING EITHER YOU HAVE FAULTY ENGINE COOLANT TEMPERATURE SENSOR CHECK COOLANT FANS FUSE AND RELAYS. YOU CAN CODE SCAN CAR TO SEE IF YOU HAVE FAULTY PCM, FAULTY ENGINE COOLANT TEMPERATURE SENSOR OR FAULTY COOLANT FAN RELAY.IF COOLANT FAN AND ENGINE COOLANT TEMPERATURE SENSOR OKAY,YOU HAVE CORRECT COOLANT LEVEL IN COOLANT SYSTEM, THERMOSTAT AND RADIATOR PRESSURE CAP BEEN REPLACED, YOU COULD HAVE BLOWN HEAD GASKET CHECK ENGINE OIL LOOKS LIKE MILK SHAKE HEAD GASKET BLOWED ALSO WHEN HEAD GASKET BLOWED YOU CAN DRIVE CAR SHORT DISTANCE START OVERHEATING AND YOU LOOSE ENGINE POWER SUSPECT BLOWED HEAD GASKET.

My car is overheating and it smells like antifreeze in the car and the fans not coming on?

sounds like you have a coolant leak inside the engine compartment and its steaming off the engine heat. You need to check heat sensors also as those fans need to run to keep motor cool. Beware , those fans can turn on at any time so keep hands and fingers clear of them when checking or workng near them.

My car started overheating. I was almost out of antifreeze, but my reserve tank still had antifreeze. Put a sealant in the radiator believing there was a leak, as well as the 50/50 mix, but it still ran...

Not likely water pump unless pump is leaking. You need to figure out where the antifreeze leaked out. Can you see anything leaking with radiator full and engine running? I have some tips at http://www.fixya.com/cars/r5929960-s_thermostat if you want to troubleshoot. Let me know if you have questions.

LOOSING ANTIFREEZE FROM MY 2002 FORD ESCAPE AND CAN FIND WERE IT IS GOING. BUT CHECK MY TRANSPISSION FLUID AND IT IS OVER FULL AND IT LOOKS LIKE PINK FOAMY FLUID.

transmission cooler in the radiator seems to be leaking, its a heat exchanger that transfers trans. fluid heat with coolant, ret the rad replaced and and the transmission flushed not just drained and filled cause when you drain a trans you do not empry the torque convertor so have it done my a reputable shop

My antifreeze is leaking and its freezin cold?

first find the leak and repair it. second, make sure it does not overheat again or you may also need a thermostat. Your heater will not work when coolant level drops below a certain level. since it's leaking, likely that level has been reached. After repair has been made, re-fill with 50/50 antifreeze mix, with the engine running and heater on full heat to allow air in system to escape. If while filling it begins to overheat and keeps spitting out coolant, replace the thermostat.
