SOURCE: Where can you find an illustration - diagram for

its possible the diagram is on a label under the hood. GM was pretty good about putting this label somewhere in the engine compartment. (unless someone removed it)

SOURCE: the hood of a 1991 oldsmobile ninety will not open

the easiest way is to strip the end of the original cable and pull the cable to open the hood. if not you have to raise the car and try to reach the hood latch and open if from there.

If you replaced only the coils, and not the module beneath, you wasted your time. Most times the module is what causes this.

1987 olds regency ninety eight has spark, fuel, but will not fire .

The spark and fuel both get there reference from the crank shaft sensor , so as long as the crankshaft is turning and the sensor and module are good you will have spark and fuel, it sounds like one thing you are missing is compression I think you should see if you have lost a timing chain, does the engine seam to be turning over at a very fast speed? pull a spark plug and check for compression.....SORRY TO BE THE BEARER OF BAD NEWS
