Question about Cars & Trucks
Check engine light on, indicating cam position sensor. I replaced cam sensor, same thing.. I had a local shop replace distributor with a new one I got from Auto Zone because I don't have the proper scan tools, still same... they replaced the distributor again under warranty and actually didn't charge me labor, but still same
You'll probably need a shop to check it out.
The code for the cam sensor usually means the computer is not getting a signal, or it is not in sync with the crank. Since you replaced the sensor, the problem could be the cam or the circuit between the sensor and the engine computer.
There is a flow chart with tests to run for each trouble code.
