Why doesn't the high level brake light work?

Could it be due to an open fuse?

High level brake light is connected , in parallel with, all other brake/stop lights.. It is not on a separate fuse, so, check, or replace the other stop lights.
Or could be a bad ground on brake lights, but not on high level light.

In the junction block, check 10A FUSE 32 and 15A FUSE 17. Also, 20A circuit breaker 3 could have failed open. The problem also could be due to failure of any component of the wiper/washer system.

Where is fuse box in a 2004 chevrolet cavalier?

The car has total of 2 fuse boxes, this applies to all Chevrolet Cavalier & Pontiac Sunfire from 1995 to 2005.

The first fuse box is on the left of the dashboard after driver's door has been opened, a cover with release tab on it.

The second fuse box is under the hood near the battery, some might call this the relay box due to relays being inside it, but fuses are found inside it too, also has a cover with release tabs on it.

Have a nice day.

Power windows and locks stopped working but only on the driver side

open driver's door, and check wiring between the door and hinge pillar due to open and closing the door, the wiring will break, use a razor knife and split the rubber cover and check for a broken wire, solder as needed. if no wire is broken, suspect master switch on the driver's door.

1990 Plymouth laser. Where is starter relay located? I've already looked under radio panel where books say but not there.

Fuses There are a number of fuse blocks on these vehicles. The multi-purpose fuse block is located inside the passenger compartment of the vehicle, under the instrument panel, towards the left of the steering column. The dedicated fuses are located in the engine compartment at the left rear corner (if equipped with A/C) and also in front of the right strut tower. Blade type fuses are used. A blade type fuse has test taps provided to allow checking of the fuse itself, without removing it from the fuse block. A test light can be used. The fuse is okay if the test light comes ON when its one test lead is connected to the test taps (one at a time) and the other lead is grounded. Change the position of the ignition switch so the fuse circuit being tested has voltage applied to it. Fig. 1: A test light can be used to test the fuse 89576g47.gif
When a fuse is blown, there are two probable causes as follows: One is that the fuse was blown due to a flow of current exceeding its rating. The other is that it is blown due to a repeated ON/OFF current flowing through it. Which of the two causes is responsible can be easily determined by a visual check as described below:
  1. Fuse blown due to current exceeding rating: As seen in the illustration, a fuse that is blown due to an exceeding current has a section missing. If the blown fuse looks like this, do not replace the fuse with a new one hastily since a current heavy enough to blow the fuse had flowed through it. First, check the circuit for shorting and check for abnormal electrical parts. Only after the correction of such a shorting condition, the fuse is to be replaced with one of the same capacity. Never use a fuse of a larger capacity than the one blown. If such a fuse is used, electrical components or wiring can be damaged before the fuse blows in the event that an overcurrent occurs again. Fig. 2: View of a fuse blown due to overcurrent 89576g48.gif
Fig. 3: State of a fuse blown due to thermal fatigue 89576g49.gif

  2. Fuse blown due to repeated current ON/OFF flow: The figure shows a fuse blown due to repeated current ON/OFF. Normally, this type of problem occurs after fairly long period of use and hence is less frequent than the above type. In this case, you may simply replace the fuse with a new fuse of the same capacity. Fig. 4: The lid on the fuse block in the engine compartment has the identification information 89576p40.jpg
Fig. 5: Remove the fuse panel lid by unfastening the clips and pulling it up and off the panel 89576p02.jpg

It's not unusual for fuse panels to have open cavities, due to other options that were not installed on your vehicle. Do you have anything that isn't working?

Deck

According to the owner's manual, the "deck" message means that your trunk is open. If your trunk is indeed closed, try opening and closing it a couple of times to see if it's not closing all the way due to an obstruction. If all this fails, you may have a bad fuse or connection that makes the computer think that the trunk is still open. Hope that helps!
