My 2001 white infiniti Qx4 is smoking heavily

What colour is the smoke? The easiest way to check this is on first start when the engine is cold. This can give clues as to where the problem could be. is the vehicle doing anything else different?
A blue exhaust smoke is commonly oil getting into the cylinders. White smoke suggests coolant getting into the cylinders. Black smoke is the engine running too rich. Blue or white smoke can often mean a blown head gasket. On a 2001 engine that could the most likely reason.

Why does check engine light stay on?

A rattle could be a lot of things. Many auto parts stores will do a free diagnostic readout of the code causing the check engine light to come on.

I have a 08 infiniti ex 35 journey with 75k,it had an overheating right now has a bubbles on the radiator at engine satrted ,white smoke in the morning associates to water occasionally. My question is ,if...

Yes a head normally can be milled (shaved) down and a new gasket installed to fix the engine. Be sure to fix WHY it overheated too. Of course change oil and coolant too!

NO start, well, does it crank, no car with A./T starts unless cranked,
automatic trans, is it? (a key fact that)
  1. if it cranks and the engine is gas, then spark is 2nd.
  2. got spark to all cylinders, ?
  3. if spark is good, and timed correct, next is test fuel
  4. does test fuel start engine? y/n
  5. yes, the fueling is bad,
  6. no? then engine is bad or spark was bad.
  7. tell more get more..... its not hard, each step , every test is by ORDER, not guessing.

I was driving my kia and losss power black smoke came out of exhaust and would not start on hot start

Most likely the engine cylinder head gasket has blown causing oil and coolant to flood the engine and cause smoke. This will prevent engine from starting. Looks like a big job ahead to fix. Try not to keep cranking the engine as the pistons could seize inside the engine cylinders. I hope it is not as serious as I may have made out to be. Please tow the car to mechanic asap.

Yesterday, there was smoking coming from under the hood. There is an atnifreeze leak there but today, it wasnt smoking. Is it safe to be driving?

More than likely the antifreeze was leaking onto the hot exhaust manifold and/or muffler pipe. Since the car isn't hot anymore, its not smoking. Driving is not a big hazzard unless the steam prevents you from seeing or if you run the antifreeze too low, which will overheat your engine. I would fix the leak ASAP...

2004 1.6 vvt renault scenic smoking and juddering and ``check emissions`` message on dash and orange light ?

White smoke is a symptom of coolant entering the combustion chamber which usually indicates a blown head gasket. Blue smoke is a symptom of oil burning. Black smoke is a symptom of an overly rich fuel/air mixture. Have the ECU scanned with an OBD2 scan tool. This will retrieve the cade that has been set by the ECU. That code will tell you what part is being effected and where to start looking. If you see white smoke STOP driving this car immediately as serious engine damage will occur if you continue to run the engine. It must be repaired ASAP.

2001 Jetta 1.8T, 100K miles. Smokes when hot.

Ouch! you've got engine coolant in the exhaust from a leak somewhere...DO NOT run this engine until you get someone (dealer is best in this instance) to diagnose ($50-125)
