There is NO drain on the tank bottom.....Disconnecting fuel line/add extension if/as needed, place hose/extension in aux fuel tank, add 'Modis',request fuel pump 'on' & drain tank.....Add fresh fuel, replace fuel filter & ad fuel injector cleaner (Preferably Lucas #10020) & PROPERLY dispose of waste fuel.

You can try to syphon it out ? use a piece of hose pipe and thread it down the filler hole. suck the end of the pipe untill gas starts to flow then make sure the end of the pipe is lower than the fuel tank and into a bucket. as long as you keep the pipe lower than the tank it will syphon the gas out.

Hi I mistakenly mixed unleaded with diesel in my navara when I drain my tank do I have get all the fuel out

assuming that it should have been diesel then clean out the fuel lines and replace the filters and a few litres of petrol in the tank will mix in with the diesel
if it is a petrol and you put in diesel then it is not so critical as the diesel will mix with the petrol and the oil in the diesel will act as upper cylinder lubricant so up to 5 litres left will be ok

2010 sv6 Holden commodore wagon. 52000 kms flashing engine light came on. Idol and runs rough.is due for a service soon.. Before I got fuel car was running fine. 20 mins after loss of power stalled.

sounds like you got bad gas (water or some other foreign fluid mixed into) from your fill station. also could just be an old fuel filter desperately in need of being replaced

I put it 30 dollars of unleaded91 that was given to me from my mum an heard it was mixed with a bit of diesel gas put it into my 2005 Mazda premacy went down the road and the car started shaking an started...

The gas/diesel was in a can from your Mum or you bought the gas/diesel at a gas station ?
The station needs to be responsible if you bought a gas/diesel mix from them.
You will have to have it towed to a mechanic. The lines and tank will have to be emptied of diesel and flushed out. The plugs will need to be changed and it could have ruined your catalytic convertor.
My daughter did a similar thing to her car.
Bad news - it can be a very expensive fix if the cat. convertor is ruined.

How can you tell if you have bad gas in your tank

What are the indications of bad gasoline?
A:

QUICK ANSWER

The symptoms of bad gas involve a lean misfire, which creates a P0300 code in newer cars, engine detonation and pinging, sputtering and stalling. These occur because the bad gas fails to keep the fuel system clean and introduces contaminants that can clog fuel filters, fuel pumps and fuel injectors. In addition, bad gas can have an octane rating lower than advertised, leading to the aforementioned detonation and pinging.

FULL ANSWER

Receiving bad gas from a fueling station is more common than the industry admits. The only cure for fixing bad gas is to drain the fuel tank and fill it with fresh gasoline while cleaning the fuel system in the process. Bad gas can be caused by gasoline suppliers not mixing the required amount of additives in the fuel, causing them to be less effective in preventing deposits and causing fuel varnish to form in the fueling system. Sometimes the tanks, whether at the fueling stations tanks or in the vehicle's own fuel tanks, are contaminated with dirt, corrosion and water. Because no filtration system is absolutely perfect, even with the various filters and stringent EPA requirements in place, these contaminants end up inside the car and may damage it. Gasoline that is lower in octane often occurs because either the supplier or the fueling station intentionally sells regular fuel as higher octane, profiting over the difference in price.

Filled tank accidently with diesel

No problem!!! Just syphon the tank and refill with gas. try to get as much diesel out as possible, obviously, but a quart or two mixed with the gas won't hurt, as a matter of fact it will act like a fuel system cleaner and lubricator. Beyond two quarts to 16 gallon tank and some egr system damage could occur.

I accidently poured 5 gallon of road desiel in my 06 hybrid. how do i get the diesel out?

Well, the good news is that filling a gasoline engine with diesel is not as bad as using gasoline in a diesel engine. There is likely no permanent damage. The bad news is that you're probably looking at several hundred dollars (perhaaps up to $500) to drain the fuel tank and engine and
flush the fuel lines. If the diesel gummed up the spark plugs and filters, they'd probably need to be replaced, but those are minor costs.
First, you won't be able to easily drain the fuel tank. I don't think
they put drain plugs on the tank as most imports do. The best way to
get the fuel out would be to remove the fuel line, extend it with a
rubber hose or something, and run power to the fuel pump. The best
place to do this would probably be at the fuel filter. The electric
fuel pump will pump enough fuel out of the tank to allow the engine to
start. It would be a good idea to run the tank dry, fill it with
another gallon of gas or so, then use the pump to remove that
gas/diesel mix also. Fill up with gas and you'll be fine.
As to replacing parts, or aving parts destroyed by the diesel, I don't
think that will happen. You might wanrt to change the fuel filter,
but even that wouldn't be mandatory.
Since your car is fuel injected and the fuel runs in a "loop" (the
injectors get fuel pessure from the in tank fuel pump, and the excess
pressure is fed back to the tank) any residual diesel will be flushed
out of the lines almost immediately. Just run the fuel pump with a
bypass without starting the engine, just like you did to drain the
fuel. As it runs it will circulate fuel through the loop and clear
out any diesel in the fuel loop. The engine should then start up
immediately.
One downside you MIGHT experience: the "honeycomb" catalytic
converters used by Jeep and many others are quite sensitive to
clogginbg with carbon, oil deposits, etc. Although in all probability
you haven't done any damage to the cat. conv. this is a good reason to
get as much diesel out as possible before attempting to start it.
If you take it to a shop and they want to drop the tank, etc. I'd
suggest to them using the pump to drain the tank. Like I say, I've
used this method many times with great success. You should be able to
find someone to do this for $100 or so. (Maybe less).

How do you drain the fuel from a 2000 VW New

this is a common mistake, when i was selling cars i must have put gas in 20 diesel cars.you can run a diesel car with about 10%gas in the fuel with the only problem being hot starting and slower acceleration,(it is common for garages to tell customers that the whole system needs flushing, this is bollox,)NATO tanks run on 30%gas/diesel mix in arctic conditions(stops fuel from freezing and is less volatile than gas alone(takes a lot to burn diesel out of a pressurised container...) just use low power until you can refill with high octane gas...(diesel mixes with gas,it doesnt float on the surface or sink down...so filters are not affected either...))

I have diesel in my unleaded tank

Diesel will not seriously harm a gasoline engine. That said, a
gasoline engine will not run on diesel, it does not have the capacity
to ignite the fuel. So while no actual damage has been caused, as has
been stated, you will have to clean out all of the diesel before it
will run again. The mechanics tell you they have to replace all of
those parts, while really it is a matter of getting as much diesel out
as you can, and letting the rest burn off with the gas. A bit of
diesel mixed with gasoline would have the effect of a bit of oil mixed
with the gas, a little smoke. Good luck and run the engine on the highest octane
with fuel injector cleaner.
