The alarm
or immobilizer. (engine)
why not post symptoms. then ask.

the operators guide tells you how to disable the alarm.
using just the key at the drivers door.
lost that?
and asked and answered here, like 100 times. or more.
why not search?

If theft system is activated.... Try locking and unlocking doors with the key fob. Sometimes on certain models using the key to lock and unlock the drivers door will reset the system

Disable anti theft on ford taurus

You can't , your best bet is take your vehicle to the ford dealer an have it checked out . The ford PATS - passive anti-theft system is intertwined in all the computer systems on the vehicle . I don't even think you can go into the system with the ford diagnostic tool an disable it . There is no where you could just disconnect it , it's software programmed into the modules (computers) on the vehicle .

Anti theft

You can't disable the anti-theft system as it is designed to stop exactly what you are trying to do.

You have to fix it, key or ignition chip. The codes from those are interrogated by the ECM and if they match, the ECM releases power to the ignition. Great system, and has saved millions of cars being stolen or joy-ridden.You can't disable the anti-theft system as it is designed to stop exactly what you are trying to do.

Could anti-theft system d mustang cause car to shut off while driving?

Hi, im a retired ford tech, with alot of experience on ford anti theft . Now if you are asking about a built in oem factory anti theft, your not going to be able to bypass it. Now to answer your question, I would say your factory anti theft IS NOT causing your issue. It will make it unable to start,it doesnt kill anything else.

Try re-setting the computer...Disconnect the negative terminal of the battery and leave off for 5-10 minutes. This will allow the computer to reset. The charger may have interupted the signal or something.
