Question about 1998 Suzuki Esteem
A tuneup depends on miles.
and what was skipped all other times.!!!
the 60K? its in the operators guide., lost that? ask.?
no engine stated, 1.6L or 1.8
the 1.8 has COP coils.
so replace all 4 cop boots, now. they will be bad.
and spark plugs.
if 1.6L spark wires, cap ,rotor will be needed if skipped last major tuneup.
not only that, what you need depends on what i found bad.
gee, i pull the cops and the boots are full of carbon tracking.
they are no longer any good.
see this photo of boots. on the 1.8 or v6
see the nice low cost boot choices here.
if engine iS G16 engine why not say so>......????????

you probably need to check the butterfly. its the compinent that controls how much air goes into the engine if it is weared than in idle state air leaks into the engine sometime more sometimes less and cause fluctuations in rpm
secondly there is a rpm switch which controls the rpm you can replace that switch and check

Having good fuel pressure is a plus (yours seems a bit high but I don't have specs) What you need to find out is if the injectors are opening and putting the fuel into the engine so it can work. Are the plugs wet with fuel or dry? Does it fire up if you spray carb cleaner into the throttle body while cranking?

Testimonial: "thanks for quick reply..will pull plugs and inspect..wow what a great site!"
When you hear some tapping, that's why you need -valve adjustments. At 137,000miles you probably need more than that to continue your trouble-free drives.
