Hi,you proberly herd this before, but its much better to have a diagnostic done than just throwing money away buying parts and finding that it was not the couse, all the best.

Why is battery light lit on dashboard constantly ford explorer 2004

Usually when the battery light is constantly on when running the alternator is not charging properly or the wire from the alternator to the battery is damaged. If your battery is good the car may run for quite some time if headlights and heavy drain accessories are not used. Suggest you have the system checked at a local chain auto parts store like Advance Auto who can tell you if your car alternator is charging or not.

The red battery light comes on intermittantly in my 2004 Ford Explorer (6 cylinder automatic) with 95K miles. Any ideas? It starts and runs fine.

Get the battery load tested and the alternator checked. An interstate battery place will do this free.

2004 Ford Explorer XLT.....The radio and gas gauge quit

The check engine light will represent fault codes that the computer is sensing. Have a mechanic, or go to your local auto parts superstore and have them scan for the fault codes. This will at least give you an idea about some of your problems.

2004 Ford Explorer--65k miles..service engine soon light on...not gas cap, had fuel system chemically cleaned by Precision tune...

get the code to determine what system is at fault. If you already did and it directed you to the gas cap then thats about all you can do other than look at the engine and air box for any vacuum hoses that may of been left off.
