How can i fix brake lights on 2004 ford sportstrac

There's a switch on the brake pedal arm, the switch controls the brake lights. It may need an adjustment or replacement.
Hope this helps.

My brake lights do not work in my 1996 ford explorer

First check for fuse Second check that the brake light switch at the top of the brake pedal is making contact. Check with circuit test light on switch terminals. On terminal will have power with the ignition in the run position with the pedal at rest and the other should show power when the pedal is depressed atre that check connectors back to the lights

2004 Ford Explorer- Brake lights remain on even when vehicle parked/off.....? What can I check/fix? Please & thank you!

check under dash on steering column above brake pedal for the brake light switch, check for proper adjustment. Push in on switch and have someone check for lightt to turn off. if it goes off then adjust switch so it makes quicker contact with brake pedal bracket. If it wont turn off then i would expect the switch is bad. But remember i am not there to do a hands on inspection but this is the most common senario

Rear light willl not go off even when car is parked and in off position. No change in illumination when brake is applied. 2004 ford Explorer

Try lifing the pedal up to see if the lights go out.If it does the pedal linkages inside the car need a spray of wd40.If they don't ,there is a small switch attached to the pedal that may be stuck, needs adjusting or is broken. Its less than 1 inch round and has 2 wires attached to it.Hope this helps you
