That's because, there's a bigger fuse ahead of that one. Probably under the hood in heavier fuse box.

Running lights on trailer wont work

Always check the ground wire, connections, and grounding bolt by cleaning and coating with di-electric grease. The harness plugs also get dirt and bug larva in them. on the vehicle the ground wire is the exposed terminal then next t-l-r as in trailer! t-tail lites, l-left brake, r-right brake. The running light use less electric and if the ground is weak you will get no lite. sometimes the brakes will work some what as they will backfeed or get some juice.

Dash lights quit, gauges and idiot lights work. Help

It's most likely a burnt fuse. Check the fusebox in the cab first. If none of those match the dash, check the underhood fusebox next. A burnt fuse looks like a burnt light bulb. As long as the metal part in the middle is connected it should still be fine.

No brake lights. Regular lights, turn signals, bulbs OK. Replaced the fuse in underhood fusebox. Still not working. I think it may be the brake light switch. Is that something I can do myself. Is it...

you did say that the middle or third brake light was coming on though right??? If so you probably have a good switch. I would start by checking the wires coming off the switch on the brake pedal. Push the pedal and use a current tester and see if there is anything coming from the switch when you push the pedal

Horn and under-hood light don't work. Are these problems related? ie. fuse? Don't have an owners manual.

Nope they are not related. A common problem is a bad horn. If you have the fusebox cover it should say it there which is the fuse for the horn. The underhood light is probably due to a bad bulb, and replacing it would make it work again. Lot of people take underhood light for granted when in fact it is very usefull. So yeah it is either a fuse, a horn or simply a bad connection. The horn is very hard to locate. Sometimes it is inside the fender housing.

2005 chevy 2500 brake lights wont work

Just to be sure you checked fuses underhood? There is a junction block at rear of truck on frame it can cause lights to not work check it to make sure all conections are tight.also check the trailer hook up for brake light power as this is on a seperate cicuit but is supplied by brake switch. If you have power there it will eliminate switch.your fuse box has a brake fuse and trailer brake fuse

Reversed Batter cables

Check both fuse boxes again. You have a blown fuse somewhere and it most likely is one on the main fuses in the underhood fusebox.
