ALL AIRBAG PARTS ARE DEALER ONLY ITEMS, SO NO U ARE STUCK. IF I KNEW A CHEAPER WAY I WOULD 100%SHARE THAT WITH U, BUT WHAT IS THE PART YOU NEED EXACTLY?

BRAKES! Replace your brakes NOW. You have less than 2MM of pad lining on (most likely) your front brake pads. No brakes, no stop. No stop, no MINI.

Look for a small door in the ductwork, with a few wires connected to it. This is the resistor board. Pull it out and see if any of the wires are broken. They are just curly wires that look like springs but, they're specific resistance wires to control the fan speeds.

SOURCE: Mini Cooper P1689 code
P1689 - No communication between ECM & Injection Pump Module. This is why it's a hard start and the peddle isn't acting like it should. There's a problem where the (Computer) ECM, isn't making contact with the Injection Pump module. So the computer doesn't know what the pump is doing or sending. Could be a cut in the wires, corrosion, etc.. So many things it could be, fuel pressure is low.
