SOURCE: 2003 ford explorer PATs bypass

jump starting an engine will sometimes corrupt the program in the CPU . I would have the CPU reset using a code reader first so that the immobiliser was reset before I did anything else.

2003 ford explorer shut-off while driving and it won't turn over, no sound when key is turn.

If the headlights work, I would check for voltage at the key switch and the major fuses.
If nothing works, I would start at the battery and work toward the fuse boxes. Could be a bad ground connection too.

2003 Ford Explorer is hard to start when hot or cold, runs well once started

My first thought is to check the fuel pressure. You could have a faulty pump relay or a bad valve in the pump. The one way valve in the pump prevents pressure from leaking back into the tank when the engine is off.

Started running rough advance auto told wife there were two codes p0305 p0316 our 2003 ford explorer 4.0 6 cy

The problem is at the 5th cylinder and a misfire during start up based on the error code. Inspect first the said cylinder. Check if there is spark or if you need to have the plug replaced. It could also be a bad high tension wire. This may solve the 2nd issue which may have triggered it.

My 2003 ford explorer just shut off, and will not start it will not even make a noise.

sounds like electrical power is lost to engine.
So, power source is at starter relay. Check connection there. If you have a volt meter - use it. If not, rig up a 12V light and use it. Find the bad connection - starting at the starter relay. I guess that the lights (head lights, radio, etc.) work.
So, carefully clean battery power leads. The problem is in that part of the electrical system.

The computer in your explorer, will not let your truck , because of a blown head gasket or bad seals you need to have it fixed or get a different truck.

Either the motor is worn out already, or the swich is bad. you can try hooking up a different switch from different window to rule out bad switch
