No external fuel filter used on this model.
GM stopped using fuel filters that can be replaced around 2005 on most models.

I WANT TO KNOW WHERE THE OUTSIDE TEMPERATURE SENSOR ON MY 2011 CHEVY CRUZE IS LOCATED. I WANT TO REPLACE IT BECAUSE THE DASH GAGE STAYS AT 64 DEGREES.

The ambient temp sensor is usually located somewhere in front of the radiator or behind the front bumper. You'll see a small device, clipped to a nearby metal part of the body with wires attached.

Before replacing the sensor, try improving a possible poor connection by disconnecting and reconnecting the sensor a few times. I've experienced this on my '98 Astro, and the temp displayed correctly after cleaning up the connection.

Happy Motoring!

Every time I put gas in my 2011 chevy cruze I have problems strting it it's not the fuel pump, bad gas,or gas cap wat else could it be

Fuel filter? Sometimes if it is plugged, it doesn't let enough gas through to keep the car running. Just a wild guess...

Replaced front and fuel tank evap solenoid still getting po443 code on 2011 chevy cruze what is a solution

Try a new gas cap, that is usually the culprit. Around $20 on up for keyed at any part store. And easy to put on.

Hi, the three passengers doors on my Chevrolet cruze 2011 won't open from the inside or outside but do unlock. Drivers door is fine. What do you think could be the problem?

Please look inside the door jamb where you will find the child lock button. If this is in the on position the doors will not open from the inside only the outside.

What is causing the noise in my fan motor after I changed the cabin air filter, cleaned out the leaves on my 2011 Chevy Cruze?

Check around the fan blades. Leaves and other debris can get stuck on the back side where you can not see them.
Also make sure that the filter has not came out of the slot.

COOLANT IN PCM

With growing fuel costs and problems of global warming that are being faced by our planet, automotive industry is trying its best to create cars and engines that are more fuel efficient. In a recent news release Chevrolet unveiled the working of The Air Shutter system which is going to be used in the much awaited Chevrolet Cruze Eco model giving it a decently good fuel economy of 40MPG or 17 kmpl.

Air Shutter System Working Greg Fadler, aerodynamics engineering group manager at Chevrolet and his team developed The Air Shutter system to make 2011 Chevrolet Cruze Eco one of the most fuel efficient small cars on the market achieving almost hybrid like fuel economy without the Hybrid cost and maintenance. This was achieved by using commonly used techniques of reducing overall weight and ride height to provide it the aerodynamic benefit. chevrolet+cruze+eco+air+shutter.gif
The real innovation is the front grill which has an automatic shutter system that senses wind flow and temperature conditions with sensors which, are connected to small electric motors that open and close the shutter as and when needed. When the car is moving at slow speed (city driving) the shutters open to provide maximum air flow to the engine for cooling thus, reducing radiator power consumption. The shutter remain closed during high speeds (highway driving), providing an increase in half a mile per gallon in combined city and highway driving.
The system however doesn't compromise with engine cooling in anyway. The system in fact helps to provide maximum cooing in the worst of conditions with the advantage of increased fuel economy.
