Check for sticking throttle body blade (can be cleaned), IAC valve dirty, and sticking EGR due to carbon particals.

Ok start from the beginning, you are going to need a factory wiring diagram to make sure you are connecting the wires to the ignition coil where I believe you need to start

Honda has issued a recall on several models which have problems with the ignition switch. The recall includes vehicles from about 1992 through 2004 ( I'm really not sure of the years. ) Do a search for Honda ignition switch recall and you'll find some links. When you call the dealer I would suggest that you have your VIN handy so he can confirm your vehicle. This is a recall and should not cost you a dime for the repair.

SOURCE: 1995 Honda Accord will not start

First you must check to see what missing. You must have spark at the pugs and gas at the injector for this car to start. See whats missing and get back to me. The 1995 Honda Accord has a history of bad distributor. If there is no spark at the spark plugs replace distributor. However on some models the coil is separate and not in the distributor, if so make sure the coil is working.

SOURCE: 1995 honda accord v6 tack jumps sometimes, but sometimes fine.

It is what you call hunting. Carb or throttle body injection?. more than likely TBI. Could be the throttle position sensor,The mass air flow sensor, fuel pressure regulator. have the fuel pressure ck'd first.. then the throttle position sensor. then the maf sensor. Have the maf sensor cleaned, They are very expensive. Make sure the air cleaner is clean, clean. it and the maf work together. - good luck, Ned

When already change timing belt on 1995 honda Odyssey when started & running I has a knock knock sound in the bottom end

Does it sound like someone knocking on a solid hardwood door? If so, it most likely is a failure of a piston connection rod bearing or a crank main bearing. An easy way to check this is to start the car and then take the spark plug wires off of the plug or distributor one at a time (if you can, some new cars won't allow this) If the knock stops when you pull the plug wire off, the rod bearing in that piston rod is destroyed. NOTE: NOTE: NOTE: be VERY aware that a running ignition system can SHOCK you if you lean up against the car or ground yourself in any way. This isn't a tiny shock. It is about 30,000 to 50,000 volts and hurts a great deal. (don't ask me how I know) If that is the case, your engine will need to be rebuilt. I have seen times where a transmission cover was causing a noise while the car is running but it would be a very slight chance that this is the problem.

Where is the knock sensor bank 2 wiring harness located

Hi John, The knock sensors on both banks are fitted as closely to the cylinder head as possible. The knock sensors 'listen' to the ignition and adjust spark timing accordingly. They are fitted onto the hottest place on the engine and consequently the cables often get heated and hardened and easily break. The sensor is usually under the intake manifld (making it fairly hard to find, but it will be there. Regards John

Won't start. Runs terrible. changed plugs, wires, fuel pump, coil. plugs smelled of gas and were blackened.

Not terribly familliar with honda cars but most systems use either a cold start injector or just richen up mixture through the normal fuel system. This is controlled by a temperature sensor, either separate from or part of dash gauge sensor. I'd begin looking for that. If its always in "cold start" if will give you symptoms like yours. If not fuel injected, check choke operation. This may not be a "cure" but it's a good place to begin looking!

Cut off

I suggest you to check your brake boster if there is air leak, to do this, start the engine, press the brake and hold. Observe the engine idle while you are holding down, if the engine become running roughly or engine cut off, it means you have to replace brake boster. but if this procedure doesn't make sense, try to knock the fuse housingseveral times while the engine is running if the engine.if cut off while knocking, most probable there is loos fuse or relay. secure all the fuse and try to knock again, if the problem still excesting, try to wigle in deferent direction the wire loom around the engine bay especially the wire harness of crank shaft and cam shaft sensors while the engine is running. if stil can't find the problem check the ignition switch harness try to wigle as while. if the problem occure while wigling the wire harness definitely you have loose connection.

Troublestarting sometimes

The igniter in the distributor may be going out. The main relay is under the dash and it very well could be an issue as well, but ususally when it goes bad, the car won't start at all.

1995 Honda accord does not start when car sit for a while

Check your compression. If you don't have a compression checker, take the plugs out, shoot a squirt of oil in each cylinder, replace plugs and crank engine. If engine starts, you are probably looking at a bad set of rings.
