Would be glad to answer your question about Cars & Trucks bur "TRANSFER MILES" doesn't seem to have any meaning. Maybe you could reformulate the question so me or someone else might answer it?

Do you need to change the oil every so often in the transfer case 4 wheel drive.

They change it after a certain thousand miles. Read the manufacturers recommendation. It is a good point to have it changed every 30000 miles.

Service 100 thousands miles

The 04 was pretty straight forward.

Change the oil and filter when the display tells you to. (Don't forget to reset Oil Life system!)

~Check Engine Fluids and Washer System
~Check Power Steering System
~Check Wiper Blades
~Check Restraint System
~Lube Body Components (See manual)
~Replace Cabin Air Filter (Located in firewall on passenger side.)

Every 25K miles do the following:
~ Inspect Fuel System, Exhaust System, Accessory Drive Belts for damage or wear.
~ Replace Air Cleaner

Ever 50K Miles
~ If used for Towing - Replace Transfer Case Fluid :: If not change fluid ever 75Kk miles.

Every 100k Miles
~ Change Automatic Transmission Fluid and Filter

My Jeep has 76,000 miles on it and I was recently told it needs a transfer case flush. Does that sound right?

The Transfer case should be flushed and new fluid added every 30,000 miles, so yes you are overdue.

Silverado makes weird noise at 70 mph. Mechanic said it's the transfer case and also found a leak therein - wants $400 to take it apart to find the problem or we can just replace. Not sure what to do - pay...

It's probably the chain in the transfer case. I had mine replaced at 150,000 miles and it cost $1500.00 to do a full rebuild. And that included them removing and installing the transfer case and a new yoke for the driveshaft.( Because the play in the transfer case grooved the old one.)

Is differential & transfer case flush good idea at 95,600 miles?

You should have the trans., transfer, and diff. serviced, if you got an owners manual it will tell you in there at what intervals or the milage it should be done at,mostly around 35 to 50.000 you got that kind of milage on it and its never been done you better do it, the oils do break down and don't last forever, it could cost you more in the long run.

2003 Chevy needs transfer case replaced for the 2nd time

I just had my transfer case rebuilt on my 2002 2500 silverado duramax. They told me that the spring that holds the pump inplace in the transfer case wore a hold through the case. He said this was common on these transfer cases. Chevy has not acknowledge the problem. He designed a steel plate, with flanges that holds the pump in place and will not wear a hole in the case again. And as far as the post to engage it once a month, the chain turns even when in 2WHL drive.

Transfer case knocking

These transfer cases do not have plastic pumps. Do have the transfer case looked at by Jeep tech, it could be as simple as an adjustment on the lever.
