I have a bent rim on my 1994 geo prizm and I was wanting to know if it has a 13" rim or a 14' rim

go look at the tires that are on your vehicle.. there will be a number that looks like this.
205/55/14 or 215/45/13
its 3 numbers.. and the last number is your rim size.. so 205/55/13 would be a 13 inch rim

I have a 97 saturn sl that has 17" rims on it.I am

Figure out what it is, an SL1 being SOHC or an SL2 being DOHC. If it is a SOHC then it came with 14 inch rims and if it is a DOHC then it came with 15 inch rims. Once you know what it is then call around to local junkyards, or auto recylers if it sounds better, and tell them you need 4 rims of the right size. Rims usually cost about 20 bucks apiece used and any Saturn rim 91-20 will fit the car, with the proviso that they must be the right rim, being 14 inch or 15 inch. If you put the wrong size on, your speedometer and odometer will be way off and your transmission life with be greatly reduced. Then get yourself some regular tires to fit the rims and sell those stupid rims on craigslist to some dumb kid.

There are chrome rims on the car I bought about 4 years ago. I took the car in to discount tire because one of the tires continue to go flat on a weekly basis. I was told that the rims got wet inside which...

moisture in a mounted tire will rust a steel rim from the inside out with chrome it gets under the chrome plating and attacks the steel rim which peels, flakes and bubbles the chrome off if it hasnt damaged the outside of rim[meaning re chrome or replace rim] and only at rim lip u can sand lip till smooth and theirs a brown sealer that almost every tire place use and can be put on tire lip which seals stopping any rim lip leak this stuff is use for problems like yours imperfections on rims---doesnt matter where u live the moisture has nowhere to go they will have the moisture in there

My local tire store put semi deep scratches in each spoke (5) and on the lip of the rim (360d)of my factory alloy wheels. i'm worried about structural integrity. should i be ?

Nope, the factory rims are more durable then the after market rims. that is why you can have factory rims repaired and refinished a to the after market rims you can't. If you do a search around your area for rim repair, the average price is $100.00 per rim and see if the tire repair shop would fit the bill for the repair or may be half the price. When replacing the the tire from any aluminum rims, there suppose to use the proper tire removal tool for aluminum rims. The machine has a nylon end so it wouldn't scratch or damage the rim in any way if done right by a trained technician. The finish on my Cobalt SS rims are still blemish free from tire changes from the place i go since tires are all they do.

Thank you for using Fixy and i would have the tire shop fit the bill. That's what shop insurance are for.

Hard starting and ideling sometimes. Runs down the road fine. 2001 Ford Expolrer.

hopefully you fixed it. Ive had the same problem with major shaking and flooding in morning cold starts. After all said and done it was cleaning inside throttle body and butterfly with starter fluid and cotton rag. I also sandpapered clean inside. Then another part at top of intaker manifold, after removing four screws on motor cover, the part has a electrical cannector. Remove two screws, electrical connection. Take part and view that it has a spring valve that plunges from signals thru electrical connection. This is equivALENT OF CHOKE. mINE WAS GUMMED UP BLACK. i CLEANED AND WITH BYCYCLE CHAIN OIL FREED IT UP., CAR STARTS AND IDLES PERFECT AND IS VERY RESPONSIVE. GOOD LUCK
