If your oil level is good, then it may be your oil sending unit,it is screwed into block by oil filter, the only way I know to check it is to change it out, easy to do.What ever you do,never use Fram oil filters. They clog up.

I have a 2000 Chevy Tahoe that did the same thing. I changed the oil pump, new oil, and head gasket. It now has power and doesn't fall on its face when I step into the throttle hard. Hope this helps.

Ticking noise

You have a bad lifter if left unattended its starts by" ticking" then "tapping" then eventually ceases up!! The fix..... Have a compression test done on each cylinder and pull valve cover off and replace ticking lifter or u might just get lucky and adjust it... Until then ..... A heavier weight oil will quiet it down...Not a fix tho......

My 2005 saturn vue the engine light came on and now the car dont have any power to move it just barely goes down the road. it was low in oil and i put some in and drove it about 7 miles then it starting...

A very common problem with this year of Saturn's is a bad engine coolant temp sensor. The good news is that this part only cost about 20 dollars. It's located on the top right of the head. I would take your car to Schuck's or Autozone or somewhere like that and scan you car, see if cam circuit fault comes up, if it does it is the engine coolant temp sensor.

My 1999 pontiac grand am will idle low, but does not cut off.

Sounds like your oil pressure sensor may be faulty. Or your oil level is very low. Your engine should idle as low as 650 rpm without your light coming on.

Oil pump

Unless your Dodge is a very high mileage car, the pump is probably OK. Much less reliable is the pressure sensor for the idiot light but it need not have failed, I have seen the orifice for the sensor actually clogged with gunk dense enough to disable them.
If you are very concerned, I would have a shop check the actual oil pressure but I think just buying the sensor and replacing it yourself would be my first move. On some engines, the sensor is in the block close to the oil filter and needs only a single lead to connect it. They aren't expensive, probably less cost than a 1/2 hour of shop time in any case.
If you can't find it, it might be a good time to buy a Haynes or Chilton manual for your van; you'll get your money's worth over time.

Turn on the ignition switch without starting the vehicle and mash the accelerator to the floor 3 times slowly and this should reset the change oil sensor.
