Question about 2003 Dodge Durango
Sounds like the crankshaft sensor gets warm and then opens up, once cooled off it closes again ( it is a transformer in epoxy housing ) I would replace it.

i had the same problem in a dodge ram pick up. ended up being the coil. when the coil got hot my truck would die or not start again until the engine had cooled down. replaced the coil, and whalaaaaah. no more trouble. good luck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's got all the symptoms of a leak in the fuel line. You may want to start backward at the tank and work your way all the way to the carb to find it but it would be surprising if it was something else. All the best.
