Replace purge valve on my 2003 lexus gs300

The purge valve is mounted in the engine compartment, probably on the firewall. It is held on by two bolts. It has an electrical connector and two vacuum hoses and looks like the pic below. . Release the connector and unscrew the two bolts. Move the vacuum lines from the old valve to the new one. Bolt the new valve down and connect the wiring harness.

How do you stop your trunk from opening when you put your car in reverse?

You have a short between the trunk motor and the reverse lights. Follow the harness from the trunk latch to to reverse lights. Open the harness there and start looking.

Lexus gs300 1994 sometimes won't go into reverse but will go into drive.

Do you mean; It won't reverse even when reverse is selected? Or; Do you mean you cannot select reverse?
If its the first then there's something wrong in the reversing clutch in the trans which is why its OK in drive. Get a trans shop to try it and see? You don't say the mileage but if its 100k + then maybe trans but get a couple of different opinions before you spend any cash.

Could be a faulty injector. Or a problem with the wiring harness or the engine computer.

Why does battery light come on when car is put in reverse?

It's most likely a short in the wiring somewhere. When the transmission is put in reverse, it'll cause the engine to shift, which could cause strain on the wiring harness and cause the field wire to the alternator to lose connection.
