What's causing my van to die when I turn on the ac/heat?

Sounds like the system is pulling too much power! First check the charging system and battery! With the key off, your battery should be at 12 volts or better! When you start the van, check for 13 1/2 to 14 volt charge at the battery! If that checks out good, next you want to plug in an OBD2 code reader under the dash on the driver's side, and check for codes! If there are no codes, it could be the system itself having the problem!

Put new radiator in car, have no heat and car runs hot, still over heatin but fluid level up also battery died to what can I do to solve this headache please help

Common headache ,refill reserve tank and leave cap off ,then restart vehicle with the heat on high and wait until fans come on. You probably just have air in the system which isn't allowing thermostat to open up. Once fans come on you should see coolant level lower and just add additional antifreeze then close cap it shouldn't over heat anymore

Car warms up then dies

Your ignition coil could be the problem. Old coils will begin to expand more with heat causing them to fail. Once they cool down, they condense and work again.

86 dodge D100 dies and wont restart

Sounds like vapor lock. In laymans terms the engine heat causes the fuel flow to stop. Once everything cools off the truck starts. Insulating around the fuel line seems to be the solution. Try aluminum foil. Or perhaps a reroute of the fuel line to get it away from direct engine heat.

Having problems with 2002 chevy silverado 1500 won't stay running. cut out going down hiway then died will run a while then die is this the fuel pump

Start with the simple and replace the fuel filter first. If it was the fuel pump, and being electric. It would have not restarted again if the pump has gone bad. The fuel filter should be replaced every 1,500 miles or once a year to ensure that your fuel system is running 100% and will not burn out your fuel pump early due to extra heat generated from working harder then is should. Good luck and keep me posted.

I have a 1991 Chevy Corsica. It will start up and die then start up and die. The third time i do this it will start up and run for like 5-10 minutes then die and won't start. Wait 1 hour and it will start...

well the running issue could be the fuel pump it could be over heating but it also sounds like the crank position sensor as far as the heating issue it is normal to go up to half way but if it is over heating take the cap off once its warm you should see the fluid cerculate if not your radiater could be clogged

Dies when the car heats up

Check for blockage in the radiator. Flushing the cooling system will not fix a partially plugged radiator. Replace radiator with new to repair problem.
