2002 mercury villager anti theft system horn will not stop van will not start

The remote needs to work if the vehicle originally came with the remote from the factory. It gives off a signal to the ring around the ignition switch to deactivate the alarm.

New battery installed in 2002 mercury cougar, and the alarm goes off and the left and right blinkers flash.

It sounds like you have an aftermarket alarm system that has malfunction. Contact the manufacturer of the alarm for the reset procedure.

I bought replacement horms for my 2002 Camry from a local junk yard. What they actually sold me was just the "horns" without the plastic housing; these were from a 2002 Corolla. How can I...

if you don`t see the diaphram of the horn and its covered(steel cover) then i don`t think you have to have the plastic cover on the horns, they will work just fine the way they are.

Horn dont work need location of horn relay fuse fuse for horn

I don't see a fuse for the horn but I can tell you the horn relay is located in the power distribution box located under the hood of the car in the engine compartment on the drivers side of the vehicle. Below is a diagram of the fuse layout. The horn relay is the one marked "R6". This should be in your owners manual if you have one. If you don't and would like a copy, you can email me at with your make, model and year and I will be happy to email you a copy. No worries, no cost for it. I hope this helps and good luck.

My cruise control doesn't work??...any

jnjkingbird, It sounds like this problem is the clock spring as I don't believe that the horn and the cruise control would share a fuse. However, they do share a circuit in the clock-spring. You can check for power at each unit (horn and the cruise control) which would confirm this. Check each fuse as well. Good luck with this.

My horn is not working

Check the fuse for the horn. This may need to be replaced. If this does not work, you have a broken horn. A local auto parts store should help you out with this problem easily.
