Check the adjustment for the switch / sensor or check for shorting wires in the circuit.

You need to check your brake fluid level...the level will run low when your brakes are running close to needing replaced also. properly service the brakes if they need changing and make sure they flush with new brake fluild for abs system.

What would cause the Emergency Brake light to not go off when the emergency light is released? What causes the ABS warning light to come on?

When I had that problem with the emergency light it was the sensor for emergency brake
The abs and brakes sounds like you are loosing pressure in the system

856 farmall replaced mcv valve and pump. Everything works. But once up to operating temperature hydraulic warning light comes on. While driving if I press firmly on brakes the light goes out. What is...

not worked on a tractor before but principle must be the same as car,are the brake components in good condition as a worn brake lining/faulty brake servo could cause the hydralic fluid resevoir to suffer a back pressure that would make sensor light go off so i'd check the brake system and go from there

Handbrake light comes on when driving

Are you sure it is for the parking brake ?
If the master cylinder is low on brake fluid the brake warning light will come on.

Abs & brake warning lights come on. if i push the hand/emergency brake and then release it the warning lights turn off. when i ride the brake as i am coming to a stop and release the brake to drive...

{: ) Check first if your brake fluid is low. Better top it up at maximum level. Look also for possible brake fluid leaks. It can also be a fluid sensor or wheel speed sensors at fault. If the warning lights persist, I suggest a scan tool vehicle check to effectively pinpoint the main cause of the warning light issue.

My antilock brake system stopped working and my emergancy brake light is on even though the brake is down. the fluid is fine.

If the parking brake switch is not stuck and the fluid level is OK, try tapping on the fluid reservoir to see if the light flickers or goes off. (you need 2 people to do this) If it flickers or goes off then replace your fluid level sensor. (You may have to buy a complete reservoir or master cylinder depending on your car ) If this does not provide any results, then you may have an internal leak in your master cylinder or Antolock Hydraulic Control Module causing the Proportioning Sensor Switch to turn the light on. At this point. I would tow it to a shop and have the Antilock Control Module scanned to see why it has turned the light on and disabled your Antilock Brake System. I do not recommend driving the car at all until the RED brake warning lamp problem has been resolved. It is OK to operate the vehicle (cautiously) with the YELLOW Antilock brake lamp on.

BEEPING CONSTANT WHEN I START THE CAR

Check your owners manual under Warnings audible and see what things are listed to to cause a warning tone it could be a faulty seat beat buckle, to low brake pressure. You have options 1 have it checked 2 turn the radio up high 3 ignore it 4 trade in. Good luck with this decision.

Warning lights

hi this could be one of a couple of problems the first could be that the alternator isnt charging the battery properly unless you get the revs up then the lights go off. This is the usual problem
The second problem would be a bad earth that comes from the battery if this is the case then removing the earth wire where it comes from the battery and goes to the engine or chassis and then clean behind where this earth touches the chassis or the engine use something like sand paper to remove any corrosion then put the earth wires back on then check if you still have the problem.

Is the brake and battery warning light just one light or is their a light for the brake warning light and a seperate warning light for the battery.

As you say when you apply the brakes or signal these lights come back on then it is going to be a voltage problem it could even be that the battery needs replacing this will need to be tested.

The first thing you should do is get the battery and alternator tested as one of these or even both is often the cause of the problem you are having.

Let me know how you get on or if you have any problems or questions just give me a shout back ok
