94 honda accord vtec Car started to have a rough idle and a **** like feel when it only comes to a stop as in a stopsign or stoplight. When I accelerate pass 10mph the rough idle and jerks goes away....

I don't think it's a fuel problem. Sounds more like spark. Change plugs and wires, and possibly the coil pack. Also could be idle control sensor.

Had an oil and oil filter change..oil leaked all over the wires under the car...it turns over but will not start

Do you mean the oil cap? it sounds that is where oil leaked out, clean the spark plug wires on both ends specially at distributor or coils, good luck

Is there supposed to be oil on the 2,3,4 spark plugs when you change them?

If there is oil in the spark plug tubes than the valve cover is leaking. It should be changed to prevent the rubber boots from bloating and ruining the wires/coils (if its a coil over ignition). If the boots of the wires/coils are soaked they should be replaced as well. This will prevent misfire issues/poor performance in the future.

My car is a 95 Nissan Altima is jerking while idling and while driving. There is oil in the area where the spark plugs are. The distrubtor does not seem to be working either.

You need to replace the valve cover gasket.Under the valve cover are four tubes that the spark plugs fit down into. between these tubes and the inside of the valve cover is a series of round gaskets that fit on these tubes. When they get old they leak oil into these tubes.replace spark plugs and wires when you do the job, they are most likely finished. Its a nice job for a Saturday morning, about an hour. Good Luck

I have a 2003 Subaru Baja with 126k. Recently has developed what I thought to be a misfire. When I pulled the spark plugs they were loose and covered with oil. I changed the wires and plugs and still have...

I would replace the filter and verify the fuel pressure. should be 30-40psi but I dontt have the exact spec. The oil in the plug tubes may be caused by leaking valve cover gaskets.

My car jerks when i am on constant speed and decelerating

Could be a missfire in the engine, most likely cause spark plug or wire B/O. To check for spark plug wire look under hood in the dark to see if fire is arcking from wire to motor. To test for plugs start motor and disconnect one spark wire at a time, use insulated rubber gloves and be carefull not to burn yourself. If the motor does not change sounds, likely that spark plug is ok. replace that plug wire and try with remaining plug wires. If your vehicle has more than 60,00o miles it would be a good idea to change plugs anyway. Just make sure that the electrodes are guaged to the proper width

98 ford e 150 van idles in park fine. But when accelerating, hesitates and jerks. changed fuel filter, but still jerks.

Did you try changing plugs and WIRES!! wires are the most common cause of this problem, under load if you have a bad cracked wire it will "leak" the spark causing a weaker spark there for making your spark at the plug weak not burning the entire charge in the cylinder. If this still doesn't solve your problem being the cheap way (im sure it may fix it) try by changing your coil packs let me know what happens. If all else fails you may have a sloppy injector

2002 Honda Accord. Engine does slow start and jerks

sounds like you have a problem with the spark the coil may be on its way out or there may be oil in the spark plug holls shorting out the spark.
your best bet is to pull the leads out 1 at a time and and look down and check for oil if there is oil there get a new rocker cover gasket.
if no oil refit plug leads loosely and start the car remove one lead at a time slowly and look at the spark cumming out the end off the lead is it blue? if so it is ok if it is yellow and dull you have a coil problem. also check that the spark is only comming out the end of the lead as it may be comming ou the side of the lead and shorting to earth,
you can do this by slowly moving the lead around the top of the sparkl plug holl and see were the spark is comming from

be carfull no to shock your self as it herts like hell

good luck
