After rebuild engine,it starts but losing power when going uphill.

Just had timing-belt, water pump,spark plugs,head gasket & serviced.

1. i would submit that it is possible that all the valves were not properly set at the time your engine was coupled back. this may mean opening the engine all over in order to work on the valves.
2. a quick and simple alternative is to have your car engine computer checked. this is one car diagnosis tool that is gaining wide acceptance these days. try this first before anything else.

Change the fuel filter and then check the fuel pump pressure. Losing power when the engine is higher than the fuel tank is a "classic" symptom of a clogged filter or a failing fuel pump.

Any chance you can take the truck back for a refund ??
If not, you have some major expenses ahead.
If the oil is in the cylinders, the odds are you have rings and valve guide wear which would require rebuilding the engine. Replacing the valve cover gaskets would only be a concern if the oil is on the outside of the spark plugs. Fixing one thing such as rings or valves with that many miles on the truck would not be realistic.
The bearings and oil pump and so on would have 192k on them.
The timing belt and water pump should be replaced every 75,000 miles, so you should be on the third one now and another due at 210k.
The big issue is the mileage on the truck. Replacing or rebuilding the engine now would be a big investment on a truck that is close to the end of life regarding the rest of the components such as suspension and transmission. The 3.0 engine and drive train have a life expectancy of 200k in most situations. Not to say it can't last any longer, but the odds go down after that number.

I have a 2004 Nissan Xtrail. I have been losing coolant, even though there are no apparent leaks. Now I am experiencing loss of power intermittently, especially uphill, even to te point pf crawling.. ...


Generally speaking, if you are loosing coolant and there are no external leaks, its usually being burned in the cylinders and going out the exhaust.
You can burn a gallon a week and not see any smoke.
You may want to pull the spark plugs and look for signs of a head gasket or intake gasket leak.
Coolant can also weaken the spark plugs and affect the performance of the engine.

Is it true that a damaged knock sensor can slow down or make the car lose power while going uphill? Toyota Corolla VE 98


Yes it can. The knock sensor retards the timing due to irregular levels of octane in todays gasoline, to eliminate or reduce what is called a spark knock. A malfunction could cause your car to lose power when car is under a load or uphill due to pre detonation or constantly retarded spark to the engine. If not replaced it can cause engine damage or head gasket damage. Hope this helps.

    It loses power on acceleration and serious loss of power on hills


    sounds like a clogged fuel filter. you need to have the engine pressure checked for leaks, you can rent the pressure checker at autozone, it connects to ur radiator and u pump pressure into the cooling system if u find water leaking around the head u know u have a blown head gasket. if ok then check the cylinder compression should beable to rent this also. it screws into the spark plug holes has a gauge on it. alternator problem w/ the light is probaly you need to tighten the belt.hope this helps!!!

    How to replace head gasket on 1999 2.5 cyl ford ranger


    Cylinder Head Removal
    1. Disconnect the battery ground cable
    2. Relieve the fuel pressure.
    3. Drain the cooling system. Disconnect the three way catalytic converter Loosen the water pump pulley bolts.
    4. Remove the drive belt.
    5. Remove the water pump pulley, fan and clutch assembly.
    6. Remove the intake manifolds
    7. Remove the ignition wires from the spark plugs .
    8. Remove the spark plugs; .
    9. Remove the oil level indicator tube
      • Remove the bolt.
      • Remove the oil level indicator tube.
      • Remove the EGR valve to exhaust manifold tube
      1. Remove the valve cover
      1. Remove the drive belt .
      1. Recover the A/C refrigerant; refer to Disconnect the engine control wiring from the A/C compressor
      2. Remove the A/C compressor mounting bracket (2882) with the power steering pump (3A674) attached and position out of the way.
      3. Disconnect the engine control sensor wiring connector from the generator
      4. Disconnect the (1) lower radiator hose and the (2) water pump inlet tube
      5. Remove the upper radiator hose
      6. Remove the water pump inlet tube.
        • Remove the bolts.
        • Remove the water pump inlet tube.
      7. Remove the generator.
        • Remove the bolts.
        • Remove the generator.
      8. Remove the generator mounting bracket.
        • Remove the bolts.
        • Remove the bracket.
        1. Remove the ignition wire and bracket; refer to Section 303-07A .
        1. Remove the outer timing belt cover; refer to the procedure in this section.
        1. Remove the timing chain/belt (6268); refer to Timing Drive Components—Timing Belt in this section.
        1. Remove the exhaust manifold (9430); refer to Exhaust Manifold in this section.
        1. Remove the cylinder head .
          • Remove the bolts and discard. (should get new ones)
          • Remove the cylinder head.
          • Remove the head gasket and discard.
    Installation
    1. Clean all gasket mating surfaces.
    1. Install new gaskets as necessary.
      • Use new cylinder head bolts.
    1. Follow the removal procedure in reverse order.
    1. Tighten the bolts in sequence, in three stages, to 70 Nm (51 lb/ft).
      • Stage 1: Tighten all bolts to 70 Nm.
      • Stage 2: Retighten all bolts to 70 Nm.
      • Stage 3: Tighten all bolts an additional 90-100 degrees.
    2. Install generator bracket. Install bolts in four stages.
      • Stage 1: Hand-start bolt 1.
      • Stage 2: Install and tighten bolt 2.
      • Stage 3: Install and tighten bolt 3.
      • Stage 4: Tighten bolt 1.
    3. Install the A/C compressor mounting bracket. Install the bolts and the stud.
      • Tighten the M10 bolts and stud to 48 Nm (35 lb/ft).
      • Tighten the M8 bolt to 25 Nm (18 lb/ft).

    I changed my headgasket on my 1999 dodge avenger and water pump spark plugs even the hydraulic timing belt tensionerand it is still misfiring


    Why did you change the head gasket Patrick,
    Was the engine missing before you did this,or did you over heat the engine from low coolant?
    If the miss was there before you may have burnt a valve,
