SOURCE: lincoln ls transimission fluid

It is located on the transmission pan. Their is a "fluid level check screw" that you will need to take out. You aren't going to be able to just dump a quart of fluid in and be good though. These transmissions are designed under normal driving conditions to never have to be serviced and that includes the fluid. But if your like me, you like to hot rod it once in a while. Then you should change your fluid every 45,000 miles or so. The drain plug is at the very bottom of the pan. You are gonna need a little over 11.5 quarts of Mercon(R) V Transmission fluid for the 3.0 as well as the 3.9 liter. The amount of fluid needed for the transmission is the same regardless of the engine you have.
Hope this post will help someone in the future. Also their is no dipstick to check the fluid level. You have to take the screw/bolt out on the side of the Tranny Pan.

SOURCE: placement of heater hoses on

Check this procedure to Removal & Installation

  1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.
  2. Drain the radiator.
  3. For the 3.9L engine: remove the auxiliary coolant pump.
  4. Disconnect the connector located at the end of the coolant valve harness pigtail.
NOTE The top heater hose has a green identifying mark to match the hose on the dual coolant flow valve. If mark is not visible, identify the hoses for location. This will aid in the correct installation of the hose assemblies.
NOTE Hose assemblies shown with components removed for clarity.
  5. Disconnect the three quick-disconnect couplings from the coolant control valve hoses.

To install:
  1. Make sure that the heater hoses are installed in the correct position.
  2. Lubricate the coolant hoses with MERPOL® meeting Ford specification.
  3. Check for correct hose installation by verifying DATC system operation.
  4. Replace the coolant valve mounting bracket.

Have a lincoln 2000, it's supper shaky and also has a noice not so sure wat could it be they tell me the coils

Please describe the 'super shaky' and the noise. The following might help.
Well, I'm not an expert but your description matches threeissues I have seen with my LSs (I'm on my second 2000 LS) and others I waslooking at buying. The immediate concern is that you say you have a noiseand I say DO NOT DRIVE THIS CAR ANY FURTHER! If the noise is kind of a whine, you may be okay for a while but if it's a high pitch and/or loud groaningnoise, STOP, get out of your car, get a flashlight, and check the ball jointsand/or the upper steering arms (I believe that's what Ford calls them). The LSlower ball joints and related upper steering arm that are, in my estimation, poorly protected with a CHEAP rubber protector that deteriorates anddisintegrates to nothing well before the life expectancy of the front endjoints they are supposed to protect. In any case, this would be a big concernso check this item first. Grab a flashlight and turn the wheels all theway, (best results = to the left for the d-side, right for the p-side) so youcan inspect the joints. That being said, "coilpacks" and/or faulty spark plugs are the most likely culprit for the"super shaky" if it's more like bucking and jerking and affecting duringacceleration or when you're cruising. Find yourself an auto store that withread your emission codes and look for a P030# code, wherein the # is thecylinder number (V8 motor). For example, a P0304 code means a misfire in the #4cylinder. BTW - the number 1 cylinder isthe front RIGHT (psngr-side) cylinder. The code gives you the cylinder number that is misfiring and it could bejust spark plugs as they generally last 75-115K miles. The other thing it could be is your transmissionslipping but I don't know anything about transmissions.
