Why does clock reset itself each time I start the vehicle?

sometimes if the battery is weak enough that could cause a drain and suddenly the memory fails and then it resets to 12 oclock. Also the stereo system uses two 12 volt positive feeds one is a constant that many times is fused by the same fuse that feeds the lighter socket but also many times only one of the fuses on the fuse chart will mention the stereo when in fact another fuse is feeding a different circuit in the stereo.

You could have weak charging/starting system connections connections due to rotted/corroded battery/alternator/starter/engine block ground posts/connections or the cables could even be rotted internally that connect up to those connections.Again weak or poor grounds or loose connections cause a drain on the whole system that could over draw some circuits causing them to temporally loose their proper operating voltage/power.

Car stereo not receiving power.

Sound system w/o amplifier. Not only check the fuses, check the fuse circuit for voltage, use a test lite. As you can see, one fuse is hot all the time, the other fuse goes hot with the key on. Also check ground wire, that wire color is black.

No fuses are blown and the radio still does not turn on

Hello.
I'm not sure if this will help you, but, many stereo systems have a fuse in the stereo itself and it's located in the back of the stereo system.

I would check that, if you haven't already.

I hope this helps you!

Radio want come on

on the driverside plastic panel beneath the steering wheel will be a fuse panel. fuses are forks of metal partially covered in plastic. they are colored. on the back of the panel are diagrams of fuses and the system they protect. find the one named stereo, and pull it out. through the plastic coating you will see a wire. if the wire is broken the fuse is blown and your stereo will not come on. if the fuse is not blown there is also another fuse located in the rear of the stereo component. reaching this one is difficult however and instructions may vary between cars. check these first. if neither is blown either your stereo component is fried or you have wiring issues.

Stereo system shut off!! is it fuse?

you haven't mentioned if that is an aftermarket stereo or a factory one. generally if it is a fuse your cigarette lighter won't work (they often use the same fuse). check the fuse with a multimeter. if it's fine you may have to pull out the stereo and make sure the wires have not come off.

Think that stereo has a seperate power amp... check the fuse box for any blown fuses. there are a couple of inline fuses in the system whicha are always fun to locate....

you should be able to find out what that fuse is by looking under the cover for those fuses. you should see a diagram with explanation for what each fuse is for. or look in your owners manual. or buy a chilton repair manual from a parts store. good luck.
