Describe a dump truck lever

Its usually metal and is found between the Dump Bed and the Cab of the Truck. Sometimes it has a plastic grip on the end so you don't have to touch he metal and even better... Some Dumps today are really cool and you no longer need to get out of the truck to DUMP the load. Just make sure if you are trying to use the dump to drop a load that you un-hook the gate but you probably already know that.

How do I get my 1998 Chevy 1 Ton dump to lift a full load of materials?

Well, if you are not leaking fluid everywhere it can only be 2 things, either the cylinder is not holding pressure internally or the pump is not making enough pressure. I would start by getting the cylinder rebuilt, this is common and usually cheaper than having the pump rebuilt.

Hi! I have a queen size hydraulic lift mobital storage bed. We've had it for 2 years and after about 6 months, when we sit on the left side, it makes a REALLY loud "Thump!" And now the bed is...

Call the manufacturer and see if there are any service intervals for it. As all thing mechanical need service over time parts wear.

Also look for obvious signs of wear and broken parts underneath.

My 97 nissan hardbody's is rusting and i cant find a replacement for the truck bed. The frame is fine just the bed is rusted and falling off.

I had the same problem on my 95 and I build a replacement bed out of 2x4's. Most of the beds you would find will have the same problems you are having with the current one. Your lucky in that the frame is't rusting too. The bodys and frames go on these trucks long before the driveline.

Are the valves adjustable on the 1990 3.0L? I

1) The valves are adjustable, but they are of the shim-type adjustment. You will need to obtain the proper shims from a dealership parts department.

2) Any Toyota dealer can, by you giving them your VIN, tell you whatever was done to the vehicle under warranty

3) There are no special service campaigns for bed replacements, nor has there ever been one. Any bed that 'was' replaced was under factory "goodwill", to maintain customer satisfaction.

Rear leaf spring supports are completly rusted through. How much can i haul in the bed before i get it fixed? When i say rusted throughj i mean it! The left side has about 1cm split in it and the right is...

Those rear shackle mounts are a very common rust area on older ford trucks. I agree with Mcgyver, I wouldn't drive the truck much, let a lone haul anything in the bed. When it goes, the leaf spring will be resting on the underside of the bed. They aren't TOO difficult to replace if you have an air hammer and some patience. Parts all also readily available from the dealer. Shouldn't run you more then $100 or so.

Cranks but wont start

the 2 problems are seperate . The starter might have been the one draining your battery. The bushings on a starter can wear out and the core starts to fall down a little at a time until it hits the "beds" This causes the starter to lose speed as it falls. I would recomend that you replace the starter or have it rebuilt. The starting problem may be the coil or coils . although I don't know if your car has an external coil(s) or is built into the distributer.
